Because I don't want another generation to suffer like I did I'll give
you a few hints.
1. Don't get exited about pictures and focus on
color and colored text to create personality of the page.
2. Put all
your pictures in a directory and don't leave them around.
3. Don't
fool around with cgi or Java and if you don't know what they are you
are blesses and you won't be tempted.
4. Describe all your damn links
early or your going to pay.
5. The hell with ftp contributions or
writing programs or wib site structures just cut and paste unless your
ripping off pictures which I don't advise.
6. Work on the Macs in
Keller cause you can cut and paste everything and use the temp
directory to save pictures so you don't need a disk.
7. Don't get into
scanning like I did unless you shrink it. 8. Sherman says Good Luck
and remember the drop date. I hope you have an idea of how challenging
this class is.
9. Start being nice to anyone who nows slightly more
than you about pictures.
10. Put links of Prof homepage, yours, amd
all previous generation and describe all links aain.
11. Prepare to
waste ... I mean invest alot of time on this class.
12. Don't get
behind and stay close to someone who knows what their doing.
13. Use
a previous generations webpage that Dr. James says is good as a
template.
14. Never call Dr. James by his first name.... Sorry
Dr. James I couldn't help but put that in.
Subject: My contribution to the next generation
Hello there!=:) How do you feel now that you're entering the world of
computers on the Internet? Believe me, if you feel lost and confused
don't panic and drop out without exploring your options first. Look
through my classmates and my report2.html before you decide to drop out
because you may find that the feelings you have right now are normal.
This class will have a lot of assignents and reports that are due and I
do advise you to keep up with your files because you're being graded on
every file that you create and complete. This course is very
challenging and it will bring out the best of your ability within
yourself. I wish you luck and have fun exploring the Internet.
