CARtoon
vignettes inspired by incidents from previous generations
1. I AM INVINCIBLE
A person speeding recklessly through traffic in a little
Honda civic, with a balloon above their head, thinking that they
are in a tank. Caption at the bottom says, "When I'm behind the
wheel, nothing can harm me."
inspired by Caroline
Balatico
2. WE ALWAYS WANT MORE POWER
A man is at a car dealership and the salesman is telling him
all the features of the car. The man is not paying attention to
anything that the other salesman is saying and interrupts him and
says, OK, OK, but how fast can it go?"
inspired by Kendall Matsuyoshi
3. DRIVING SPEED LIMIT CAN BE DANGEROUS
Everyone is tailgating and honking their horn at this one car in front
and eventually everyone zooms around him and the driver stares at his
speedometer and sees that he is going speed limit. He says,
"gees some people are in such a hurry."
inspired by Braden
Kato
4. SPEED LIMITS ARE TOO LOW
A car is doing 120 as he passes a 20 MPH sign, and the driver
thinks to himself, "The speed limit is set too low."
inspired by Berna
Collado
5. I'M INVISIBLE
An old grandma accidentally cuts someone off, and so to retaliate, they
flip her off
and speed off. The poor old lady is horrified while the driver thinks
nothing is wrong.
inspired by Michelle Ota's homepage, as she cites an anonymous person who says,
"I tend to
think that other people can't see me, or if they do, I'll never see them
again, so
rude gestures are OK (as long as I speed off really fast")
