For my last team report, I'd like to tell the story of my neighbor. Every morning at 7 am, my neighbor turns his car on and revs his motor. It wakes the whole neighborhood and the fumes form his car get into my room making it difficult to breath. I really wanted to talk to him, but he did not look like a very approachable type of guy. Not that I was afraid (of course not), but this guy did look a little like Ghengis Khan. He was middle aged and delivered the paper. Now I don't know about you, but a middle aged man that delivers the paper, is not all there to me.
Anyway, I wanted to talk to him, but first wanted to open up the communication lines before I told him about his loud and stink-ass car. One day when he was walking through my street delivering the paper, I looked at him, waved, and gave him the biggest smile I could give. He returned this good gesture by pretending not to notice me and looked to the ground. There are ways to avoid acknowledging someone and the one he used was the second most obvious. The first being, pretending to talk to somebody, right L.L..
After this incident. I felt totally ticked off. About a few minutes of this, I suddenly realized that I was upset about a guy not saying "hi" to me. Upon further thought, I decided that this was not worth being upset about. Besides, I'm not that type of guy. Know what I mean.
When the morning incidences first a started, It was pretty funny. It later became a little irritating, until it progressed to be unbearable. I finally decided I was going to confront this guy. One morning I woke up and waited for his car to start again. It finally started, but no longer was it very loud or polluted. He had installed a new muffler, I guess, and it was no longer an irritation. I decided that this was for the better , cause I was really ready to give him a piece of my mind (yeah right).
