(a) My first time doing a search for usenet groups was a total failure. This time I came prepared. My group buddy told me to do a search on Yahoo. From yahoo, dir., rec., auto., and then usenet goups. The address of the subject is as follows:
news:44unaa$1po@ixnews6.ix.netcom.com
(b) I don't think graphics is of high proirity on these pages since there were none. Just simply words to convey a message.
(c) I had just recently bought a 1995 Dodge Caravan that had dual air bags installed. The dealer kept emphasising how the van had dual air bags. He kept saying at the end of every sentence,"Did I mention the van had dual air bags?" Yeah, yeah, yeah, you told me already. I'm buying the van because I want enough room to put my five children in. Joke, I've only got four children (ha ha). Anyway, I never really knew how an air bag worked. One of the usenet group topics was on, you guessed it, air bags. First of all, air bags were meant to be used with seatbelts. Using airbags without seatbelt might keep you alive, but it will ruin your day. Seat belts work by exploding open during impact. I don't know about you but I don't think I like the sound of an explosion during and accident. The bages then cussion your inpact and then suprisingly, the airbags imediatly collapse back. The reason fo this is that you need to see where you are going after impact. For instace, this guy on the usenet groups hit a car. Air bags came out, collapsed then the guy drove his car away from hitting a tree. Sounds pretty reassuring, but if I got into an accident, I would much rather put it into God's hand then see the tree that's going to take my life.
(d) Air bags are very useful to drivers and passengers. I make joke of it but it really feels safe to be in a car with air bags. This does not mean I change my drivng habit knowing I am protected by airbags. I think it sort of makes me more aware of my diving.
Dual air bags will be required by all outomakers in the year `98. It seems sort of funny that if the government can make seat belt laws, air bag laws, helmut laws, then what's to stop them from making car seatbelt laws. Think about it.
