Minivan Mania

    (a) I finally gave up on getting into the newsgroups from the Sinclair Lab. All of my usenet group work will be done in the CLIC Lab. This is very inconvenient since, I can only transfer reports rtf to html in the Sinclair Lab. Even worse is that none of the monitors seem to know what is going on. I put no blame on them because if I was a monitor, I wouldn't know myself. Anyway, in the CLIC Lab, I found and interesting usenet discussion on minivans. I own a minivan myself. and was fascinated by what some people thought of these vehicles on the road. The address is :

    (c) A citizen on the road states that there are too many minivans on the road. Minivans are larger and are equal to 1.5 cars. He complained that minivans are difficult to see through and a larger distance must be taken behind one. Another drivers comments are that minivans are a part of life and are not going away. Besides, road congestion is caused by road hogs, who drive alone. Minivans actually do good for traffic by carrying up to seven people.

Well I must be the most selfish person on the road. I own a minivan and I always drive alone. My minivan is a joy to ride and so easy to drive. I also have a Nissan Sentra, but it is a stick and it doesn't have power steering. You can imagine how much easier an automatic van is to drive.

    (d) If more people could own a minivan, traffic would be a lot better. There would be significantly less cars on the road. Only problem is that I don't ever see this becoming a reality. First of all minivans popularity are beginning to make the cost of these vans too much for everyone to afford. Second, riding with a carpool means you have to be on other peoples schedule. Our society does not like to consider other peoples schedule. Things have to get done at our own convenience and not on someone else's. There would just be too much conflict.

    (e) Interested in minivans?
