Every search I have done for usenet groups so far has been done on the Yahoo search engine. All I was doing every week was going back to the same old discussions that the same people last week were having. I was fast getting bored of the same old routine. This week I chose to do a totally different search as well as try to find an interesting and big enough subject that I could talk about for more than one week.
On the Metacrawler search engine, I searched for "law enforcement". It turned out to be very interesting and a number of hits was found. Only problem was that not too many of them had a direct link to traffic psychology. Finally, I found a link that had a person called "Mr. Traffic". I clicked it on and found a lot of very interesting things on it. This page was the home page of Kenny Morse and he is a radio and television talk show host. He described himself as the "ONLY television and radio talk show host who talks about the issues related to driving in America....". Some of his topics included: How to fight a traffic ticket, Speed laws in America, Motorbike and bicycle safety, etc... What interested me the most was his topic on Driving attitudes and responsibilities. Unfortunately, this subjects did not have any links to it. I was very disappointed until I saw a sign that said that cool links were further down.
I scrolled further down, but could not find the link I wanted. Instead, I found links on traffic reports and automotive directories. I also found a usenet automotive survey. What I did find was interesting articles about Kenny Morse that talked about him being in the LA Times and advice on how to "fight a traffic ticket".
The advice were as follows. First, is to "do your homework". Look up what the law says about your violation and understand what you have been accused off. Second, "Prepare how you are going to present your case". Take photographs, draw diagrams, get witness statements, anything to give the judge a reasonable doubt. Third thing is to "dress to impress". Show respect to the judge and he will respect you back.
I finally got to the end of the page and still did not find a link I could use. I decided to write this guy an e-mail message and request information on "driving attitudes and responsibilities". This would be much easier and then I would get a direct link to traffic psychology.
UPDATE:
It has been a week and this guy still has not written to me. Maybe he's too busy or maybe he's just an ass. I'm giving up this search and moving on to something else.
