Required Reading
There is one required book for the course: Web ReDesign 2.0: Workflow that Works and it's available at the University Bookstore, Amazon.com, and other large book sellers.
In addition, many other books, magazines, and web sites provide excellent perspectives on multimedia design and development. A few such books are listed in this section of the site as well as in the resources section. Although they make great additions to a design reference library, you are not required to read any of the recommended reading books.
Web ReDesign 2.0: Workflow that Works
by Kelly Goto & Emily Colter
Publisher: New Riders 2004
ISBN: 0735714339
Read the assignments prior to each lecture class and be prepared to discuss and to ask questions about them during the class.
In addition to the required text, all of the following books provide excellent insight into their respective subject areas. They are in no way required reading but are suitable for students who would like to know more about particular aspects of Adobe Photoshop CS3, Dreamweaver CS3, Flash CS3, and general css and web design issues. Links to Amazon are included for each book so that you can read reviews and, in some cases, look inside the book.
The books are listed by author, not by order of recommendation.
