The Manoa Journal of Fried and Half-Fried Ideas (about the future) is an occasional paper series published by the Hawai'i Research Center for Futures Studies (HRCFS). Established by the State Legislature in 1971, HRCFS is a unit of the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Hawai'i. The Manoa Journal is a forum for testing out ideas about the future in the early stages, before they are aired or published for conventional audiences or journals. In other words, The Manoa Journal of Fried and Half-Fried Ideas offers a creative and nurturing environment for nascent ideas. As such, we encourage submissions from all areas, people, and persuasions. No idea is too raw for us. We thank and commend you for taking this opportunity to engage in imaginative dreaming with others about the future. Spread the word - the futures are alive and living in The Manoa Journal of Fried and Half-Fried Ideas (about the future). See below for access to our online issues. Most papers are available in html for easier reading and pdf format for easier printing. To view pdf files, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.
