I.  Four Stresses while driving

a.)   the cause of road rage can be found within the four levels of stress:

environmental, nutritional, physical, and emotional.  It is easier to become

incensed by another driver when any of these stress areas are vulnerable.

b.)   it is common for people to drive home from work with headaches, or not

having been properly nourished, making them more at risk for bad driving behavior

c.)   I agree with this, that road rage is not just a function of the mind, but it is

affected by many other things.

II.  Road Vision

a.)   including: eyestrain, fatigue, and nightblindness that can produce confusion,

hesitation, and decreased alertness while driving.  Bad driving behavior can occur due to aging, diet, and improper vision correction.

b.)   having blurred vision is frustrating and is very dangerous while driving.  A

person may blink their eys continuosly to try to clear vision and becoming more frustrated.

c.)   This is often overlooked.  It’s important to note that driving impairments

include all of these things, not just driving under the influence of a chemical substance.

III.  Road Fatigue

a.)   The driver is affected by a physiological and psychological experience.

It can severely impair judgement, especially the level of one’s own tiredness.  It can be brought on by long, monotonous, highway driving, nutrient deficiency, and lack of energy, allergies, illnesses, negative emotions and overworking.

b.)   I have driven under the influence of fatigue and it was so severe that I

experienced hallucinations and light tricks.

c.)   very important to be aware of one’s fatigue level while driving, because it

is potentially lethal and an instigator of road rage.
