Concept 1:  Driver Self Witnessing Technique
               A.  There are many techniques to study problem solving abilities.  While engaged in driving, drivers are being recorded and the analysis of the recording allows them to display emotions or thoughts and feelings of what they’re going through at that certain time.  This analysis is helping to classify certain behaviors into the three developmental domains.
               B.  While driving, a lot of drivers talk to themselves or speak out loud even if the other person isn’t able to hear them.  I think by doing this it give drivers a sense of relief.  This can help them let out any stress they might be feeling, instead of taking action with their vehicle.
               C.  When I drive, I always tend to talk out loud when I think someone has wronged me on the road.  If a driver cuts me off, I might say “you idiot” and then without taking any other action feel less stressed about the situation.  By listening to myself yell, it makes me remember to calm down and come to realize that I’m driving and not looking for trouble and proves the use of this concept

Concept 2:  The drivers threefold self
               A.  The drivers threefold self is a concept that can be experienced in three different domains.  The first is the affective domain where drivers integrate their emotions and the act of driving.  The next domain deals with a drivers cognitive behavioral side, while the sensor motor domain can be seen with the use of cameras or passengers, but also in the description of any sensations while driving.
               B.  Everyday on the road, I see drivers gesturing out of frustration and emotion.  I think psychologically if we engage in the three fold self it will allow the experience of the affective, cognitive and sensor motor domains.
               C.  I chose this concept because it served as an important factor for allow oneself to become better at the act of driving.  I agree with the drivers threefold self because it makes sense and has proven itself even in my own experience.

Concept 3:  The mental health of Drivers
               A.  This concept talks about the different conditions in which drivers experience such as psychological and social conditions.  It also states that we need to somehow integrate all these different information and develop a theory of driving behaviors that will help society develop a better driving environment.
               B.  Just a few weeks ago I was cut off and then had to slam on my brakes and started a chain reaction that got all the other drivers upset and gesturing as well as yelling to the SUV that cut his way in.  I was amazed to visually see a lot of drivers getting upset and probably even being affected mentally by this.
               C.  I think this concept of a drivers mental health will definitely help our society.  If we as drivers are able to create behavioral maps it will help sustain a positive mental health of all drivers.
