A. What is a Red Light Camera?
i. automated systems that take pictures of cars violating red lights
ii. use 35 mm film
iii. operated under any weather condition
iv. record date, time and location on each frame
v. activated should a car cross the trigger while the light is red
vi. receive ticket in mail latter on
B. What does this mean to me?
i. An issue of the loss of human rights
ii. Argued that is lessens average driver dignity
iii. Cost to the economic well being of a person
iv. Favor the safely of others by attempting to make people follow the law of stopping at a red light
II. Justifications for Red Light Cameras
A. Driving through a red light is unsafe for others
B. Bad drivers run red lights
C. The more crashes at an intersection server to promote the institution of RLC’s
D. More traffic at an intersection greater the need for RLC
E. The greater the speed increased likelihood for red light violations
F. More revenue from courts
III. The wonders of Studying RLC’s and effects of
A. better than obtrusive police cars since they can go undetced as cars use caution when police cars are in the area
B. social acceptance as one means of measuring RLC’s success
