I Jekyll-Hyde Syndrome

            A. phenomena of a typically nice person adopting a hostile, aggressive aptitude while under pressure on the road

            B. inflated ego and feelings of self righteousness

 

II Passive Aggressive driving

1.      Pennsylvania State study findings

            i. Cars pulling out of parking stalls take on average 11 seconds longer should another car be waiting

            ii. Increase from 11 sec should the waiting person honk

2.      Left Lane Bandit or Inconsiderate driver

1.                  Highway vigilantes who make it their job to regulate traffic flow

 

III  Epic Road Rage

1.      The act of seeking revenge or fantasizing acts of physical force as a result of traffic related stressors

2.      Three examples of E.R.R.

            i. Boston

                        a.   bus driver got spit on and beat up in the street after he cut off another driver

            ii. Ohio

a.       man entered a bus after it pulled over, he punched a teenager who threw a soda can at his truck 

 

iii.  Colorado Springs

            a.    A 55year old persuaded and shoot dead a 17 year old  who had been tailgating him
