A. Motorists are often proud of their aggressiveness therefore the children often hear their parents swearing and demeaning other drivers.
B. Children soak up the norms of behaviors in their environment, thus the road rage tradition is passed from generation to generation.
C. To avoid dangerous chaos, adult drivers must teach their kids emotional intelligence from the earliest age possible.
II. Children’s Road Rage
A. Children are the most vulnerable as pedestrians because of their size and limited knowledge and experience with risky traffic situations.
B. Children are fully capable of every kind of road rage, especially fantasy road rage.
C. Teaching children to value road safety rules is the key to helping them develop good habits as pedestrians and drivers.
III. Children Against Road Rage (CARR)
A. CARR is an interactive website that promotes driving psychology curriculum for children.
B. Its main goal is to involve children in training for emotional intelligence as future drivers.
C. Activities help children become more aware passengers by focusing on when they are being exposed to aggressive driving.
