I. In a hurry??
A. Feeling pressure to hurry => Aggressive driving
a. One of the most common aggressive driving behaviors
B. Avoids decreasing speed
a. Feels aggression towards anyone who does slow down
b. Takes dangerous measures to avoid slowing down
1. Lane hopping, avoiding congestion, speeding, runs red lights, ignores stop or yield signs
C. This aggressive behavior actually saves no time

II. Feeling competitive??
A. Feeling pressure to compete => Aggressive driving
a. Competitive drivers feel loss and anxiety if passed
1. Need to find alternate methods of relaxation which can translate into the automobile
b. Competitive drivers experience embarrassment and worry
1. Sense of others’ judgments may be underlying psychological depavement
c. Competitive drivers feel victorious when parking stalls are found
1. Need to realize the absurdity of behavior; need to find other talents which can feel victorious

III. Feeling superior??
A. Feeling traffic laws are irrational => Aggressive driving
a. Feeling above the designated traffic regulations
1. Ignore: stop signs, red lights, speed laws, do not pass zones, etc
2. Underlying need to rebel
3. Need to feel strength behind the wheel
b. Law enforcement officials are seen cynically, not seriously and helpfully
