1.  Misrepresentation of Road Fatalities

A.     In industrialized countries reporting road fatalities were at a minimum; 2-5%

B.     While in rural, underdeveloped countries road fatalities were reported 25-50% of the times.

a.       In the Philippines 1 out of 5 deaths were reported period.  In Indonesia, insurance companies reported traffic deaths 40% more than law enforcers.  It gets better, in Taiwan, the Department of Health!! were 130% more likely to report a death than the police!

2. Possible Prevention & Awareness for Road Fatalities

A.     Prediction of road fatalities can be beneficial in preventing those very accidents.

a.       Even though the text mentions prediction could possibly lead to prevention, it is very difficult if not impossible to predict the future.  There are too many different variables and dependents to methodically sort through the numerous traffic scenarios.

b.      I.e. Japan in the 1960s.

3. The Impact Fatalities have on our Wallet

A.     Even though monetary value cannot be placed upon a human life, road fatalities in some shape or form are stealing from your cookie jar.

B.      One way we should counteract the cost of lives, is with prevention and perhaps educational programs.
