A.     Exercise #1: Recognizing Aggression on the Road

B.     Exercise #2: Appropriate & Inappropriate Passenger Behaviors

C.     Exercise #3: Drivers Behaving Badly (DBB) Ratings

D.     These exercises will help drivers have develop a sense of conscious when on the road

2. Exercise #1: Recognizing Aggression on the Road

A.     Objectives:

a.       To help children define the concept of aggressiveness in public areas.

b.      To sensitize children to their own aggressive experiences in public places.

B.     This exercise gives several scenarios involving children and aggression and asks you to choose on a scale from 1 to 5.

a.       The scenarios range from children exuding physical acts of aggression to what forms of media could possibly affect a child’s aggressive tendencies.

b.      There are also self-reflective scenarios that put you into a particular situation and ask you what you would do.

3. Exercise #2: Appropriate & Inappropriate Passenger Behaviors

A.     Educational Objectives:

a.       To help children focus on passenger etiquette and safety.

b.      To sensitive children to bad behaviors in cars.

B.     I believe this exercise is the most meaningful and realistic because it actually entails a child and their parent to observe different forms of aggression.

C.     Not only does the child hear what the mother/father and other motorists have to say, but what they may unconsciously blip out of impulse when they get aggressive as a passenger

4. Exercise #3: Drivers Behaving Badly (DBB) Ratings

A.     Objective --- Prevention!

B.     The media contributes to the majority of aggression in children regardless of it is blunt or passive.

a.       I.e. 101 Dalmatians

                                                                           i.      Cruella De Vil chases after a moving van containing the Dalmatians.

C.     As parents make these blatantly poor driving habits MORE blatant.
