#1:  Cell Phone Statistics.

 

A.     Cell phones were introduced in 1983.

B.      Cell phone growth rate of 40% per year and in the year 2000 there are about 80 million cell phone users. 

C.      What does it have to do with driving???

 

#2:  Crash Data.

 

A.     N.A.S.S., F.A.R.S., N.H.T.S.A.  Who are these people????

B.      Talking on your cell and driving may equal being more at risk for a car crash. 

C.     Cell phone use numbers over reported or under reported.

 

 

#3:  The Cell Phone Ups and Downs  

 

A.     Cell phones now have the capabilities to let people “work on the road.”  Internet access, fax, voicemail, and paging.  Cell phones are the new mobile office. 

B.      Safety devices such as hands free dialing and conversation…  SAFE OR NOT???

C.     “Oh my god did you see that accident?!?!  CALL 911!!”
