I. Housework and Sex

1) the most important predictors for men’s satisfaction in marriage, so why do some men have wives who want sex, while other men don’t.

II. But I cant meet her standards for housework

1) what you see

a) nothing where she sees dust

b) order where she sees chaos

c) dishes in the sink where she gets annoyed by them

2) but when you go to do it

a) she tells you that your not doing it right

3) what needs to be done

a) sit down and talk to her about these issues

b) tell her in these exact words “I understand that this is really important to you, and your happiness is important to me. Because of those two facts, I’m glad to think about ways that I can do more around the house”

III. Don’t fight so much

1) couples who had the best marriages

a) husbands didn’t fight his wife’s influences

b) the marriages where the husband stubbornly insisted on being right all the time were rated less satisfying.
