1. Power of being Positive.
A. Optimism is key to being confident and leading a healthy life-style. According to Swedenborg, negative events cannot occur in the heavens of people’s minds. Negative concerns cannot impinge upon a person who is in the heaven of their mind. Positive thoughts and feelings come from angels that communicate with our spiritual bodies.
B. Love is impossible in the hell of people’s minds. However, there are people who get pleasure from being in the hells of their minds. They enjoy being hurt and hurting others. Those who are pessimists are competing with positive feelings.
C. Mood Swings and Tempers.
I. Theistic psychology explains this as a way for God to connect, disconnect, and reconnect spiritual societies from moment to moment. This is a way for God to give us temptations to resist in order to accomplish our regeneration of our characters. This is our chance as humans to proves that we have heavenly loves that overpower our hellish loves.
