The Basics of Theistic Psychology

Report 1

Theistic Psychology

Section 1.0 to 1.0.1.2.1

I am answering Questions 3.1, 3.2, 3.5, 3.6 and 4.1, 4.3, 4.6, 4.7

Question 1: 3.1.a.) Describe your educational experience regarding the positive and negative bias in science.

Answer for 3.1

See Section 1.0.1

The Negative Bias

The negative bias is when science excludes God from their studies and the world. The negative bias denies the existence of God without proving it. . Atheists would be a good example of a person who is on the negative bias side because they deny the existence of God and an afterlife. While I was growing up, I learned in schools that were in a negative bias approach. I went to public schools for my whole life and realized that I have never learned about God in class. I have never really thought about this until I started taking theistic psychology. I think that being in the negative bias can make it difficult for students to take theistic psychology. It is important to be in the positive bias in order to get a better understanding of how theistic psychology works.

The Positive Bias

The positive bias is when science does not exclude God and the spiritual world. This bias is not used in most sciences because it has not been proven that there is a God and some scientists just do not believe in Him. Now when I think back, I knew that a couple of my teachers were Christians but never showed it. They would live a positive bias life, but teach in a negative bias style. It is amazing to see how the world is today with God. A couple of years ago, there was a father who did not want his daughter saying “God” in the national anthem. I think that it is absurd that this father made such a big deal out of it. I remember saying “God” in the national Anthem when I was young, and that was the only time I ever said that all day at school.

My Educational experience

I have learned about the positive and negative bias for almost my whole life. The only problem is that I did not know that I was learning it until now. I am very glad that Theistic Psychology exposed this to me because the positive and negative bias plays an important role in my life. The reason why this is such a big deal for me is because I have been a Born again Christian for about fifteen years now. It is important for me to stand up for what I believe in. I knew that teachers were not allowed to teach about God in schools but I never knew what that was called.

I was brought up in a Christian family and I am obviously on the positive bias aspect. My parents brought me to church every Sunday ever since I was in my mom’s stomach before I was born. I accepted Jesus into my heart when I was in fourth grade and realized that God was going to be a big part of me for the rest of my life. I went to Sunday school every week and learned more about God and what He does. As I got a little older, I realized that he was real because he has done many different miracles in my life and helped me.

My Goals

I have learned the positive bias my whole life in Church and through my family. I have a great amount of experience in the positive bias aspect, but I still have a lot more to learn about God. I have learned the negative bias aspect in school for my whole life. It is interesting how I learned both the positive and negative bias at the same time throughout my life. I am an open minded person and I want to learn more about both of these aspects through Theistic Psychology. I also want to learn more about God because I do not get to talk about this in any of my other classes. This is a once in a life time opportunity for me.

Question 2:3.1b.) Describe your reaction to what this week’s reading says about science education.

My Reactions

My reactions to this weeks reading is that I am very interested in this topic. I did not even know what Theistic Psychology was before I started taking this class! I am excited to learn more because I do not get to talk about God in my other classes and I am not going to take this class for granted. I might deny some aspects about theistic psychology in the readings, but I am willing to learn and be opening minded about the topics we are covering. I appreciate how Dr. Leon James explains to the class how we do not have to believe in what he teaches, but just try to imagine if it were true. I respect that because I already have my own beliefs and I do not want someone else shoving their beliefs down my throat.

The Readings

The readings have helped me get the basics of Theistic Psychology. I am excited to read more on this subject because I am very interested in it. I like how the readings explain every topic that you need to know about Theistic Psychology. The way the sections are broken apart help me learn more because I can learn a lot in an organized fashion. These readings are by far my favorite because I can relate to the positive bias and that is what we are going to have to do for this class. I think that this is one of the first classes that allow me to think in a positive bias other than my Sunday school class.

Question 1: 3.2.a) Describe your reaction to discovering that you are a dual citizen.

Answer to 3.2

Dual citizen

To be a dual citizen is basically living with your physical body in the world and your mental body in eternity. On a positive bias aspect, after you die you will either go to heaven or hell. How ever you live your life will determine where you go. Whatever you do with your physical body in the world, will lead you to where you will go for eternity. There are people in the world who do not believe that they have a mental body. There are people who believe that they will just disappear after they die. Different religions believe in different afterlife aspects. Christians believe in a heaven and a hell for example. Theistic psychology has a similar belief that Christians do because they are on the positive bias standard.

My discovery to being a dual citizen

I have always known that I was a dual citizen ever since I was a young kid. I just never knew that term at the time. I have been a dual citizen for almost my whole life. I discovered that I was a dual citizen through my parents and Sunday school. I was taught that we live with a physical body but we also have a spiritual mind and heart. It took me a while to understand this because I was so young. I was also taught about what happens after we humans die in the physical world. I understood what heaven and hell was and what it took in life to make it to heaven. I am still working on living a pure life but we are all sinners and are not perfect. I believe that I will go to heaven because I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart.

My reaction to being a dual citizen

After I read about being a dual citizen, I knew that I live with a physical and a mental body, I just never heard of the term “Dual Citizen” before. When I received Jesus Christ into my heart, the pastor did not tell me that I was a dual citizen. I believe in an afterlife and I am trying my hardest to testify to others that they should live their lives for God so that they will not go through the wrong path. When I read about being a dual citizen, it made me realize who I am and what I live for. I want to learn more about being a dual citizen because this is a big part of my life physically and mentally. When I was growing up, I just believed in being a Christian who will either go to heaven or hell. But now I know that I am a dual citizen and so is everyone in this world.

Question 2:3.2.b) Is this difficult for you to go along with as part of the positive bias?

Is it difficult for me?

It is not difficult for me to go along with being a part of the positive bias and a dual citizen. The reason why I do not think it is difficult is because I have been brought up in these beliefs throughout my entire life. I have been going to church every Sunday for the past twenty years and I even go throughout the week now. I believe that there is a God and that allows me to be a person of a positive bias standard. I also believe in being a dual citizen because I believe that I have a physical and a mental body. I also believe in an after life.

Being a Christian allows me to be open minded about different characteristics in life. As I am taking theistic psychology, I realize that there are similarities between the two beliefs. I do not accept everything in the readings but I am a positive bias believer and that allows me to try to see the possibilities of what this class is trying to teach me. I appreciate how I can actually talk about God in a class. I have never talked about God in a class before. I think the only time I have ever learned about God was in Religion 150 and that was a huge lecture class. I never had the opportunity to have a discussion about God with the class. The Religion class was not focused on only Christianity and God, it focused on many other Religions also.

Accepting the positive bias

I think that it is very important to accept the positive bias for this class. The main reason to do this is because it would be difficult for you to understand what Dr. James is trying to teach us. I enjoy being on the positive bias standard because I understand a lot of the topics being taught in Theistic Psychology. This will probably be the only class where you would be able to think as a positive bias. Theistic psychology is a strong subject for people to learn. There are always questions if God is real because you can never see him. Theistic psychology allows you to believe that He is real and I respect that. There are science classes today that do not even think about God and the teachers are Christian! This class is definitely worth taking because we are able to accept the positive bias.

Is He real?

The main question in today’s world is, “is God real?” I believe that God is real even though we can never see him. God has always helped me in life and provided me when I was in need. I had a friend that got into a car accident and was seriously close to dying. He had to get brain surgery and was not able to go to school for his freshman year. There was a point in time where he saw angels while he was staying in the hospital. He didn’t see them physically, but spiritually. Some people may believe it and some will not. I have strong faith in God and I know He is real. If I were to explain what He has done for me, this report would seriously be over a couple hundred of pages long. I will always keep my faith in Him and share the gospel with other people.

Question 3:3.2.c) Describe the reaction of your friends or family with whom you discussed the course.

My Christian friend’s reactions

I discussed the course with a lot of my friends after the first couple of weeks after I started school. The first friends that I talked to were my Christian friends because they think almost the same way as me and have the same beliefs as me. I felt comfortable talking with my Christian friends because they knew that this class was a course that could not be taken all the time. My Christian friend’s gave me support and told me to be a strong believer in Christ no matter what happens. I felt that this class actually got me to be closer with my Christian friends because we would have deep conversations about my readings in the class. I am happy that I am able to have conversations about a strong topic with my friends.

Their first reaction about the class was, “what is Theistic psychology?” I did not even know what it was at first and that made me realize how under rated this class is. I told them that Theistic psychology is the study of God. My Christian friends were excited for me because they never had the opportunity to take a class that was all about God. They were happy for my, but at the same time they wanted me to watch out what this topic is trying to teach me. They told me to be open minded but not lose my faith in God. My Christian friends had support for me and was interested in what I was learning every class. I never had a deep conversation with my Christian friends about a class before. This is something that I will enjoy throughout this semester.

My non-Christian friend’s reactions

My non-Christian friends had different reactions than my Christian friends did about Theistic psychology. My non-Christian friends thought that this was just another class that I had to take to graduate. They also felt bad that I had to write a lot about this topic because they did not believe that there was a God. I couldn’t really have a conversation about the class with them because they did not really care for this subject. Some of my friends asked me why I was even taking this class. My friends actually questioned me why is there a class about God if he doesn’t exist. I told them my faith in Christ but they did not seem to care for it. They respected what I believed in, but just did not accept into their hearts. Basically, my non-Christian friends were not open and did not care for Theistic Psychology.

My Family’s Reaction

My family’s reaction on Theistic Psychology was similar to my Christian friend’s reaction. My family is Christian and they brought me up as a Christian ever since I was young. My dad is excited for me taking this class because he knows that I can stand up for what I believe in. He told me that this was a class that I shouldn’t take for granted because I will not be talking about God in any other class. He also told me to watch out what this class is trying to teach me, but at the same time be open so that I can do well in the class. My mom was not sure what the class about at first. I explained to her what the class was about and she told me the same thing that my dad did. My parents had the same reactions and they both told me the same advice about taking this class.

Different Reactions

All of my friends had similar reactions and different at times. My Christian friends and family were interested and supported me in standing up for what I believe in. My non-Christian friends did not really care about the subject. Everyone has their own reactions to this class and no matter what; God will help me with this class. I am glad that this course will be easy for me to talk to with my Christian friend’s and family. If I need help with anything or if I am confused, I can just go to my family. They know a lot more than I do and I love them for that. My family supports me in everything I do and I know that they will support me taking this class. My mom and dad know that Psychology is very important to me and that is why they want me to be careful about what I am learning in this class and stay strong in Christ.

Question 1: 3.5.a) What does it mean that we are “born into eternity”?

Answer to 3.5

See Section 1.0.1.2

Born into eternity

To be “born into eternity” is a concept that sounds difficult, but if you think in a positive bias, it will be easier for you. When we are born, we enter the physical world and begin to start our life. As we grow up, we have a physical body and a mental body. Whatever we do with our mental and physical body in life will determine where we go for eternity. We are born into eternity because we are all immortal spiritually, not physically. As we live our physical lives, we also have a spiritual mind that helps us in life. The spiritual mind is important because in order to be immortal in a pleasant place after you die, you must live your life to whatever potential you can. If you do not live your life to its potential, you will be living eternity in torment.

Where do you go after you die?

For me, I am a Christian and I believe in a heaven and a hell. I believe that Hell is filled with pain and agony for eternity. Hell is something you cannot explain because it is so brutal. When I think of Hell, I see demons and fire all over the place. In Theistic psychology, Hell is different in a way. Hell is based on how you live your life in rebellion. We had a discussion in class on how the Hell of the mental world would be. There was an example of a man who loves to kill people for fun. According to Theistic psychology, this man will live eternity in a world of murdering. He will actually try to murder people in this mental world and the other people will try to kill him. He never dies in this mental world because he is already physically dead. But he still has the fear of dying.

Question 2: 3.5.b) How does this relate to God and the afterlife.

Heaven and Hell (the afterlife)

Theistic psychology does not have one heaven or hell; there are different types for different people. As a Christian, I believe in one heaven and one hell. After I had the discussion about what happens to people after they die according to the Theistic approach, I found that it was similar to Christianity. The reason why it is similar is because in both aspects, after a person dies, they will either go to a heaven or a hell. I have thought about the possibilities from both aspects and I think that they are both interesting. I wanted to see how Theistic psychology works. I agree with being born into eternity and that is something I have followed for many years. It is interesting how Theistic psychology and Christianity are similar in a way.

Different Views

Heaven and hell is a strong subject to cover. There are many versions of both places for different religions. I have my beliefs and other people have theirs. But I think it was interesting talking about the heaven and hell in the Theistic point of view because it was new to me. I like to learn about what other people believe in because it gives me a bigger understanding of how they live. As I learn about Theistic psychology, I can see that I live by some of the characteristics that are mentioned in the readings. For example, I believe that I am born into eternity and that my spirit is immortal. I agree with this term but I do not agree with the heaven and hell that I learned in Theistic psychology. But that does not really matter in this class because we do not have to accept any of this into our lives. We just simply open up the possibilities in our mind see if Theistic psychology is true.

Relation to God

To be born into eternity has a lot of relation with God. He decides where will go after we die. He see’s how we lived our lives and makes sure that whatever we do will reflect on where we go in the afterlife. To me, God is the afterlife in a way. If you follow Him, you will go to heaven, if not you will go to hell. God controls the world and the mental world. Without Him, we would not be here. It is important to remember that God created us and the afterlife. We live in the world at a physical state and after we die, we go into the mental world. God is eternity and He has been here since the beginning. He made us humans able to be “born into eternity”.

Question 3: 3.5.c) How does it relate to the anatomy of our mental world?

Our Mental World

We live a life with free will. After we die from our physical body we enter into the mental world. The mental world can be different for some people. There are people who do not believe in the mental world and there are some who believe that there are many mental worlds. The mental world is a big factor to a person’s life because that is where they will be living for eternity. Our spirits are immortal and that is why we are born into eternity. As we live our lives, we have a physical and a spiritual body and this lifestyle leads us to what mental world we will be in forever.

We have three anatomical levels for our minds. There is the natural state of mind which is when a person blocks their spiritual mind. They are blind from spiritual aspects and do know anything about spirituality. The second level is the spiritual state. This state is when the person believes in the mental world and is a part of the positive bias. This level is important for us to know so that we can live in the perfect mental world. The last level is the celestial state which is the highest level of the mind. These three levels determine where we will go after eternity. Your mental state goes into the spiritual state and than to eternity.

The relationship with our mental world

How is the mental world related to being born into eternity? The mental world is eternity. After we are born, we live and than we die. After we die we resuscitate for about thirty hours and than make a transition into the mental world. The mental world has no time and there is no way out of it. The way we live after we are born will determine which mental world we will be for eternity. Living with a positive bias helps you understand the mental world and spiritual mind. Being born into eternity is basically explaining that the mental world is everything to us. We are only on the world for so long and so we should live our lives to the fullest so that we can have a pleasant time in the mental world.

Question 1:3.6.a) Describe the correspondential relationship between the physical body and the mental body

Answer to 3.6

The Physical and Mental Body

When we are born, we are made up of a physical and mental body. These two characteristics makes us who we are, after birth, you enter into the world which is where you live in with your physical body. The physical body is what organs you are made up of. For example, your hair, face, heart and other body parts. You use your physical body to get around and to survive. The physical body is lived in what is called a “time-spaced” period. All of us humans are on this earth for a certain amount of time and that is why it is called “time spaced” We use our physical body to survive in the physical world but the mental body is also important when it comes to survival.

The mental body is made up of three organs. There is the affective organ which is connected with the heart, the cognitive organ which is connected with the lungs and the sensorimotor organ which is connected with the brain and neurons of the physical body. These stages help us humans make decisions in life. We need these organs to survive in the world. Without these mental organs, we would not be able to think! Our mental body is lived for an eternity unlike our physical body. That is why we are “born into eternity”. Whatever we do with our mental and physical bodies in the time-spaced period will determine where we will go in the afterlife.

The relationship

The relationship between the physical and mental body is what keeps us alive. The reason why these two characteristics are related is because they both grow together as we get older. We start off with a natural mind when we are born. As we grow up, we get to understand the mental body. The relationship between the physical and mental body is growing everyday of our live. The only time that these two bodies will ever separate is the day we die. After we die, the physical body is gone, but the mental body lives for eternity. This is a big transition that everyone will go through after they die. The relationship with the physical and mental body is everything for a human when it comes to living and the afterlife.

Question 2: 3.6.b) How do they work together?

Working together

The physical and mental body work together in order for us to survive. We make decisions with our mental body and than use our physical body to act upon that decision. For example, football teams have plays that they use during the game. The team will use their mental body to think of which play to use and than use their physical bodies to do that play. Our mental mind is important for us in daily life. We make decisions today on what we want to do with our future, and than we use our physical bodies to succeed in that decision. Our lives our made up of decision making and physical survival. You must eat and exercise to survive physically but you must mentally motivate yourself to do those actions.

Our decision making

In life, we have decisions to make. There is a question that everyone wants to know today. Why do some people decide to make the wrong decisions? Our physical and mental body works together so that we can make choices in life. How does our physical and mental body cause people to do the wrong things in life? This is a question that I always ask my self. There are people in the world today that murder people and do not even care about what they did to the other person. Do some peoples physical and mental bodies work together to cause the person to become a murderer? It is hard to say why there are people who make the wrong decisions in life. Our decision making is important for us, so we have to make sure that we are on the right track to survival.

Question 3:3.6.c) How do you react to learning these facts about yourself?

Learning the facts

After the readings, I had a better knowledge about our physical and mental bodies. As I read, I realized how important it is that our decisions are made up from our mental and physical body. There were a lot of facts that I have never even heard of before. I thought that the time-spaced term was basic but it still had a lot of meaning. I have never heard of that term before, but after I thought about it, I realized that we are not on this world for too long. We all live short lives and that is definitely a fact. We do not know how long we are going to live, but we should not take anything for granted. Some of the facts in the readings are highly related to me and I think that it is important to learn them.

My reactions

I have skeptical thoughts on some of the things that I learn in this class but I try to see the possibilities. I was not very surprised that I have a physical and a mental body because I have been living with that mindset for my whole life. I was surprised that our minds are made up of organs. I have never known that and I was interested in learning about those facts about me. I enjoyed reading about all of the different mental parts of my body because it gave me a better understanding about how I make decisions. I knew some of the facts that were in the readings, but the ones that I did not know got me thinking and I like that.

Question 1:4.1.a) Describe the mental physiology of men and women.

Answer to 4.1

See Topic 1.0.1.2.2

The Physical and Mental Body (law of correspondents)

For the mental physiology of men and women, there is the law of correspondents. The physical body is different from the mental body. The physical body is not immortal but the mental mind is. This is important to remember because whatever decisions we make in the physical world, will determine where we go in the afterlife. The physical body of a man is different from a woman’s body. The mental body is also different between a man and a woman and no matter how much a couple might think the same way; they still both have a different mental body. This might be hard for some people to accept, but it is true.

The Mental Physiology of men and women

Men and women are different in mind and body. Men and women have reciprocal aspects when it comes to their mental organs. The woman’s cognitive organ is located more inwardly while the man’s affective organ is also located more inwardly inside of the brain. The spiritual mind of a woman is located more outwardly while the man’s cognitive mind is also located outwardly. When a man and a woman combine these characteristics together, they become a conjoint self. This is a new organ that is produced between the couple. After that happens, the “Two Phases of Marriage” occur. These two steps show how a man and a woman work together in a marriage.

The first stage is the external marriage. This stage is mainly created from the husband’s external cognitive organ. His external truth from his unconscious spiritual mind is than conjoined with the woman’s natural mind, and than external good is received. This clearly shows that a man and a woman are the total opposite in mind and body. The second stage is the internal marriage which is from the woman’s internal cognitive organ. Internal truth is than created and conjoined with the husband’s internal truth. After all of these stages occur the couple is than united in marriage. The couple is still different when it comes to the mind and body, but they are still one in marriage.

Question 2:4.1.b)How do you relate to this anatomical difference? Will it make a difference to your life in any way?

How do I relate to this?

After reading about how men and women are different mentally and physically, I realized I was right! I always knew that women are different from me physically because it is so obvious that we are different. I just never knew about the external and internal stage of marriage. I thought that was interesting and good to know. I realized that it takes a lot for a man and a woman to get married mentally. I was also surprised about how my mind is reciprocal from a woman’s mind. This relates to me because I am going to have to deal with a woman who thinks differently than me. I have to be prepared for marriage! I know that there are going to be a lot of arguments in a marriage and learning about the woman’s mind is probably one of the best subjects I have ever learned about!

Will it make a difference?

I think that learning about the mind of a man and a woman will make a difference in my life. The reason why I say that, is because when I do get married, I will realize how we got married mentally and not physically. Whenever I get into an argument with my wife, I will remember that women are different from men and we are not able to change that. I will appreciate my wife even more because we are united as one and that is a gift that God has given us. I will never take that gift for granted because a wife is probably the best gift I will ever have. Learning about the woman’s mind has helped me understand why my mom is always right!

When I get married, I will treat my wife the best respect she will ever have. Being conjoined into one is a big step in life and when that day comes for me, it will be a celebration. I am not ready to get married now because I am still in school and I do not even have a career yet. I am still learning about marriage and I am willing to learn more because it will help me out in my marriage. This has not made a big difference in my life yet, but I am sure it will when that day comes. I do look at women in a different way now because now I know that when they conjoin with us they make us happy and do a lot to keep the marriage alive.

Question 2:4.3.a) Explain why the mental body of men and women have to be reciprocals of each other in order to achieve conjugial unity.

Answer to 4.3

Reciprocals

Men and women have reciprocal characteristics in the mind and body. How is it possible for them to achieve conjugial unity? In order for a man to make a decision, he needs the wife there to decide with him. You might ask why she needs to be there with him. The reason is because she thinks differently than her husband and that allows more suggestions for the husband to make the decision. Women are great decision makers and think more when it comes to that. Men are simple minded at times and do not think as theoretically as women do. I have to admit, my mom always has the best suggestions no matter what I think of. That is just the way women are.

Helping

The differentiation and reciprocity unites a man and a woman with these decision makings in life. In order to have a relationship, you have to have two people thinking about different aspects than the other. If they both think exactly the same, it is impossible to have a relationship. It is actually a challenge for a couple to deal with decision making in life. They both have to think rationally together, and that allows the relationship to become stronger because they are both communicating and helping each other out. In the relationship, the woman mostly cooks and does chores while the man provides money and care. This is why the mental body of a man and a woman has to be reciprocal from one another. Without any of this, the relationship will go nowhere and conjugial unity will be broken.

Question 2: 4.3.b) How do you assimilate this piece of knowledge in the positive bias mode?

The positive bias mode

In the positive bias mode, it is God’s plan to make a man and a woman conjoin into conjugial unity. He created a man and a woman to share their love for each other and the gift to have children. God wants us to live happy lives with a companion and not a lonely life without one. He made the woman and man have a reciprocal mind so that they can interact with each other and make plans together in life. It is a challenge and a gift at the same time. Sex is probably the best gift that God has given us and we get to share that with the opposite sex. We should appreciate what He has given us. That day will come where you will unite as one with your partner. It is a day that you will never forget.

Gods plan

God has a plan for everyone in this world no matter what they are going through. Being able to get married is a gift that is speechless. Everyone should cherish what God has in store for us humans. You might not believe in God, but that day will come where you will find your true soul mate. This class is viewed in a positive bias mode, and that is an aspect that you will never see in another class. Just imagine if there was a God so that you can see what I am talking about. I believe that God loves everyone no matter what and that is important for everyone know. God definitely has a plan for you and I in this world and I think that we should be thankful for what He has given us.

Question 1:4.6.a) Describe the mental physiology of men and women.

Answer to 4.6

Question 2:How do you relate to this anatomical difference?

My thoughts on Moa’s reports

When I looked at Laura C. Moa’s two reports, I was impressed before I even read the article. She had a catchy background and you could tell that she put a lot of work into her report. This allowed me to be able to want to know more about marriage. The background of the page matched the theme and everything was in great detail. I liked how she pasted tables of the AUV’s in the media into her page. It made it easier for me to understand what she was writing about. The Joan of Arcadia was also a great table to read. She also had a dialogue from the Broadway play “Closer”. It was very handy to have these examples to read.

Moa did not only have great webpage designs, she was also very confident in her report. She knew what she was talking about and was able to provide the right amount of information to make the reader understand what she was talking about. I liked how she explained about her boyfriend and sisters opinions on the unity model. She explained how she interviewed them and they all had the same opinion. She said that her sister was independent and the world is made up of independence and individuality. The way she said that allowed me to think how I am. I am very independent at times, but when I get into a relationship, I become more dependent on my partner.

The number one characteristic that I like about Moa’s report is the interview. She actually had the whole interview typed out so that the people can read it. The interview was interesting because I had the same opinions on most of the questions that were being asked from Moa. Moa did a conclusion about the interview and broke it down for the readers to understand what they believed in. Moa had a detailed page and I enjoyed reading her interviews and her opinions on unity and sex. Moa knew what she was talking about and was confident in her report. She made it easy for me to understand the concepts in the readings and I respect that. She definitely gets a ten out of ten from my part.

Having fun

Moa’s report was definitely worth writing a whole evaluation on. Another report that I read was from a student named Katie Ide who was in G25. She had an interesting page because she had answers that would impact a reader. She had examples of how men treat the images of girls in the wrong way. I agree with her because girls are only known as “Sexual Images” today. She also had a great example about how sex is getting out of control for young kids. She had an example of the sexual bracelets that kids wear to show what sexual experience they have. That seriously got me thinking about how this world really is.

Ide’s report was fun to read because she actually did a segment on Family Guy! I love Family Guy and that got me hooked into her report. Ide was not the only report that I got hooked on. Michael Malala was a student in G25 and he had the same opinion as me about women. He believed that women are not being treated with respect in today’s world. I respect Malala for admitting that women need to be treated like real women. He was not ashamed to say it unlike other men in today’s society. He was also very open about his sex life. He did what he had to do to get the report done! It was funny how he used to read Cosmopolitan for sex tips. I give him credit for even sharing that with the public.

Overall

Out of the five reports I have read, Moa’s was my favorite to read. She got me interested in the subject of marriage more than the other student’s reports. There were a couple of reports that did not impress at all due to the lack of information and creativity. I believe that creativity is a big part of this class. Even though it is not required to do spectacular wonders with your page it is worth a try. Moa, Ide and Malala did a great job and their reports have shown me how much work they have put into their reports. Overall, I was impressed with these students’ reports because they knew what they were doing and you can tell that they did the readings. I need to get some tips from Moa on how to make my page as nice as hers!
