2) What kind of a mood are you in?

8:  I am not upset of suffering form feelings of being overwhelmed.  I'm fairly positive that I will accomplish the tasks and goals of the course successfully with organization.

8:  I am feeling happy, just a little tired from the day-to-day tasks

I need to register for a web account, get a UH Unix account if needed, and email my instructor to provide him with my current email address.

I was to acquire a user name and get a password for lab use, then email my professor with my name, class, and current email address.

about 30 Minutes

I already have a UH Unix account, so I'm giving myself ample time for navigation and registration on the internet

About 60 hours.

I had to fill out the email and wait for Dr. James to email me back telling me whether I was successful or not.  Then when I got the email saying I had done it wrong, I had to email him again with the corrections and wait for his confirmation email.

1:  I am computer savvy and have done similar tasks in previous courses.

3:  Instructions were clear, but I found the example given to be a little confusing e.g. exact form of relaying information

10:  I have completed similar tasks before,  I should not have any problems

10:  I feel I am a capable literate person, who can follow written directions correctly

10:     Giving up on any task (within reason) is not acceptable to me.  This is not the same as climbing Mr. Everest or K2, it is simple computer literacy.

10:     After finding my error in the email, I was quick to make the corrections because I want an A.

10:   To complete the task I must email my professor and without computers there would be no email or internet.

2:  It only requires time and reading, which I do not consider a huge effort but basic life skills.
