My Reaction To The Generational Curriculum



CONTENTS:


1) Statement About This Site:

ii) There are 3 classes Dr. James teaches:

Traffic Psychology:

This class is about reports of students about driving behaviour of people on the road and much more so check it out.

Cyberspace Psychology:

This class focus on generational homepage. Students learn about the internet, world wide web (www), how to make homepage and publish it on the web so everyone can check it out. Isn't it cool?

Spiritual Psychology:

This teaches student about rational psychology. Modern behavior psychology relate with hypertextually psychology. You can learn how things connect in a different perspective.

iii) I think this page is useful because you would be aware that there are different fields of psychology you can choose to take which you are interested in. I like cyberspace psychology's description the most since I think it would be useful because more and more people are using internet and I want to know at least a little bit about it.

iii) I think this site is useful since anyone who read about the brief description of the types of classes that Dr. James has been teaching and wants to know more about them, they can ask questions or comments about Dr. James' classes or homepage by writing to Dr. James.

3) Indexes for This Site:

ii) There are many information about the categories of different groups that you can go to check them out. There are subjects about psychology that you can click on to find more information about them. There a lots and lots of useful information especially for those of us who are taking classes. There are subjects relate or not relate to psychology too.

iii) I think it is very useful. I would check it out for all those subjects that I am interested in and for my other classes that are relate to. You can do a search in this site. Trust me, you will be surprise with all the information that you would find here.

4) Students Generational Reports:

ii) There are students reports and projects all done and published on the web. The students have the opportunity to go to the reports of previous class to observe how their reports should be.

iii) I really like this page since I can check out other people's work and compare to mine. I can copy their good ideas and all those cool stuff that they spent lots and lots of time doing so I don't have to spend that much time=), (that's why I like it). Just kidding! I wouldn't copy everything though since I know that Dr. James would check all the work we done. =)

5) List of publications by Leon James:

ii) Dr. James had published many different articles, subjects in many journals like: Journal of Experimental Psychology, Canadian Journals of Psychology, etc... There are many different subjects and fields that Dr. James published. You can go to Dr. James' homepage to explore them.

iii) Well, after I read this page, I felt like I'm nothing. I wish I would be able to publish something before I go through mid-life crisis so I wouldn't have to go through a tough time during that period of time :) Anyways, I think it is cool to know more about the background of our professor so it can be an inspiration for ourself.

6) Swedenborg Home Page Hawaii:

ii) This page explains what the spiritual psychology class is about. Mostly about religion. How people live in spiritual and how it applies to their daily lives. For example how the spiritual law of Swedenborg in marriage, etc...Go check it out. It is something you might find it interesting that you had never heard before.

iii) I personally not really interested in this spiritual law thing but I know there are other people would find it interesting. It might be cool to check it out and see if you have opinion about it.

7) Dr. Driving Says...

ii) Road Rage and Aggressive Driving: There are many things to talk about this topic. How people's attitudes on the road. Dr. Driving (Dr. James) suggests people to drive with Aloha spirit. He interviewed many aggressive driving people about their personalities and see if it relates to their driving behavior.

ii) I happened to be a volunteer for a co-worker when she took psy409 class this past summer. I had got to answer those questions about my driving attitudes. I found it really interesting about it since it is a daily thing that we all deal with. You have got to check it out this site, you won't find it boring. You will see how interesting people are on the road!

8) Explore this site with Tour Guides:

ii) You can get into this site and explore many things that students and Dr. James had put them on this site. You can explore the activities of psychology classes on the web. There are many things, activities that the students did in the past. They created, learned and explore things on the web.

iii) I think this site is cool, but it takes time to see where you are and stuff. I would want to see more specific direction so we know exactly what we want to tour and stuff.

9) Traffic Psychology:

ii) In this class you can study about the behavior of people when they drive. How people can apply these principles to daily experience to interact with others in a better maner. How it helps people to relax and adjust their tempers to deal with the situations in a better way.

iii) I personally I like to study people's behavior so I found that this class's description was interesting.

10) Cyber-Psychology:

ii) This class you can learn more about the use of the web, mostly how things are going on the web. You can explore things like virtual reality, USENET, newsgroups. How people interact everyday online. There are tons of things you can explore and learn in this class.

iii) I think this site is good for those of us get an idea about this class. Reading the descriptions of this class, I thought it is very useful for everyone to know about internet. Right now, taking this class, I feel like I need to put a lot of time into it which I wish I have more time to do. It is stressful sometimes when things go wrong when I do the exercises but for those of you who are going to take the class, don't be discourage. I think after I finish this class I would feel glad that I would be able to publish things on the web and know about internet. Like right now, at least I know something about the web but before I was like a blind man.When I do the exercises, I feel good after I found out the problems and be able to make things work. But I feel like the end of the world sometimes when things go wrong.

11) Spiritual Psychology:

ii) The study about spiritual psychology is about. Students study about the laws of Swedenborg and his theories. It talks about the origin of this subject. How it was discovered and develop with the time.

iii) I think this site would be cool for those who interest in spriritual thing, especially something that is different. Personally, I do not really want to explore much about spiritual thing.

12) Daily Round Archives (DRA):

ii) This is about how students in 499 class studied about the social psychology and its significance in daily life. They talked about their problems that they had encountered in the class, for example when they made their homepage so the later generation can be aware and learn from their mistake.

iii) I found this site was very useful since we can see other people's problems and can relate to them. It is good to know how others feel about the class.

13) Social Psychology of Home Page Architecture:

ii) Mainly this site is about Cyber psychology class. How each generation students established their homepages and use the more advange technique/ways to do them. It is all about the web as another world that we can explore things.

iii) I think it was pretty cool to check out these homepages and compare them to our own. We can copy good ideas, appearance, etc...

14) Full Text Articles and Books by Leon James:

ii) This site contains the complete topical indexes of Dr. James' Home Page. You can visit this site and explore things that you find interesting to you.

iii) I think it is useful to have all the articles and books listed. They are good sources. I rather choose to read articles than book. I think articles are good sources.

15) Diane Nahl's Search Index:

ii) In her homepage you can explore more on the HTML tutor if you want to learn more about this. You can connect to Dr. James from here too. You can also search for different types of search engines. You can learn more how to put your homepage on UHUNIX if you want.

iii) Her page is nice since it is organize. I think it is cool when I click on the site and don't have to do anything after 30 seconds automatically it takes to the next page.

16) University of Hawaii:

ii) This site you can find many information about UH. Here I like the leisure section site the most. You can find more about all the activities at UH. You should check out the entertainment section. There are good movies and stuff here that you can find out more if you have the time to explore this site.

iii) I think it is a good idea to put this site in the homepage since we can check out what are going on in our school beside of only going to school and take classes!

17) Search This Site for Key Words, Concepts, or Names:

ii) To use this site is simple. First you click on the small box of the "From" and look for what you want. For example: you choose psychology-generational Curriculum-Part 5, then you type in the "Search For" box what you looking for. For Example: Projects. Then click on the "Find Document" box. And you'll get what you want.

iii) This site is very useful since you can do a search on things you want. Definitely cool to be able to do a search from the homepage.

18) For Earlier or Text Only Browser:

ii) This site is like the table of contents. It includes all the title of sites in Dr. James' homepage. You can go ahead and click on the title links and you will be told where to go for more details on that site.

iii) I think it is a nice way of doing the table of contents like this.

ii) You can explore more about things like: Search Network, How to get a free software copy for instant communication. You can see how the Search Network spread all over the globe. If you have the name to cruise around and see how it works through Europe, Asia, etc... Through this Search Network, you can search for things around the world!

iii) I find it amazing that tons and tons of links in Dr. James' homepage. I think it took a lot of time and effort to make all those links. I had put a lot of time in my homepage just for a few links to work!
