What is Nerdworld
My oral presentation was on a site called Nerd World. This was an interesting site to look at once I got the hang of it. I first typed in road rage and it put up some irrelevant information about car racing and four wheeling. So I decided to try traffic psychology. This gave a lot of interesting sites. There were various links to Universities offering courses and having different programs dealing with this issue. I scrolled down until I came across a radio talk show called Ask Mr. Traffic http://www.mrtraffic.com. You should go and take a look. It is this guy whose name is Kenny Morse and he has a show on the radio giving advice on various traffic issues. He had information about the state of Missouri having a law that takes away to driving privelege to people who are not competent anymore due to old age. He discusses the fatality rates for the year of 1997. He states that elderly people are the #2 highest risk group for accidents. The #1 group are teens. He also had an interesting link to holiday driving tips. The only problem with this was that it took a long time for the page to come up because he had so many graphics on it.
The next relevant site I came across was that of Dr. Leon James, our instructor. This was not very interesting to me because I had already been to his page numerous times. It is great because other prople can link to it and read some of the cool stuff Dr. James has reported on.
