Animal
rage is on of my biggest issues! Many people think of animals as cute
and cuddly but they don't actually respect them as having a life and actual
feelings. I have had so many people tell me "Who cares?
That's just an animal," when I hear things like that it gives me
rage. I feel that just by disregarding the feelings of animals and not
treating them with respect is committing rage against animals because it's
done so often and the result is a lot of inhumane treatment towards
animals. Organizations like PETA and HSUS try to bring this inhumane
treatment to the surface and give animals the respect they deserve.

The PETA web page is people for the ethical treatment of animals. They are a non-profit organization and they do a lot for the prevention of cruelty to animals. They view any mistreatment towards animals as some form of rage towards them because of the disrespect of the animals. This web site has a lot of information about rage towards animals and a lot of issues that can be looked into. Some examples are: they call Puff Daddy a murderer because he has been spotted wearing fur, and they have footage of acts of rage towards animals on the television show Survivor.
Here is an example of PETA’s views as a form of rage toward animals:
“Isn’t hunting okay as long as I eat what I kill?”
Did the fact that Jeffrey Dahmer ate his victims justify his crimes? What is done with a corpse after the murder doesn’t lessen the victims suffering.
Furthermore, hunters are harming animals other than the ones they kill and take home. There are those who don’t die outright and suffer disabling injuries. Additionally, the stress that hunting inflicts on animals, the noise, the fear, and the constant chase severely restricts their ability to eat adequately and store the fat and energy they need to survive the winter.

States go to http://hsus.org.
The HSUS is a non-profit organization that promotes the protection of all animals. The web site is really good because they have a lot of articles posted about the cruelty that’s going on towards animals. They even have videos of some acts of cruelty that you can watch so you can get a better idea of what’s going on out there. You can also sign up for a membership and they will mail you updates on how you can help out, what’s going on and the laws that have succeeded in passing. They usually have footage available on their web page about acts of rage towards animals like dogs that have been set on fire or the actual slaughtering of animals. I found the web site to be very interesting and informative. When you visit the HSUS web page you can see some case studies they have found on people who have started out in acting out rage towards animals and it later spread to acting out rage towards people.
Here is an example of the issues discussed on their web page:
“A Maryland community was shocked recently when teens set a dog on fire, leaving him to die. The reverberations of this brutality are being felt in the state capital, where an anti-cruelty law is under consideration.”
You don't need to be a full-on animal rights activist to visit these web sites (but if you are one they're more than willing to provide you with information on how you can do more to help). These web sites have a lot of information on what's going on and how animals are being treated. People don't realize the rage they are committing against animals by not thinking of them on the same level as humans and these web sites will be good to help give us things to think about.
