In the article, Snow rage sentencing,
MSNBC reported on the sentencing of, Mockewich for the murder of Michael Kirkpatrick in a Snow Rage accident. Mockewich
and Kirkpatrick were neighbors in Philadelphia when they argued over snow being shoveling too close to Kirkpatrick's truck. The argument escalated where both men brought out their guns. Mockewich stated that he shot Kirkpatrick in self-defense.
In this incident of Snow Rage it is hard for me to believe how two people who live in the same community, who were neighbors, turned gun on each other for a dispute about where the snow should go. Each man in this case had a family whose live would be changed forever. Mockewich has a wife and a newborn child that who will not be able to see Mockewich till after his eight years sentence is through. Kirkpatrick also had a wife and children. In this article the wife of Mockewich was quoted in saying that, "I guess the lesson would be to stop and think." In her statement I feel that this can hold true to Snow Rage and other forms of rage. If everyone who was experiencing extreme rage or frustration toward another took the time to assess the feelings they are feeling and the reasoning for those feelings then they will be able to avoid such extreme cases like the Mockewich and Kirkpatrick family is experiencing.
