Link 1Statement About This Site
A) This site gives a brief but informative look at Traffic Psychology, Cyber-Psychology, and Spiritual Psychology.
B) I found this informative and interesting because I'm only in one of these classes. The other two classes sound intriguing. Is spiritual Psychology like Transpersonal? I guess I'll find out as I go on.
A) You don't really get a grasp of how big this site is unless you look at this link. It is a gigantic list of links that are connected to this page. There are five ways to search through it, if you want you just go and scroll down an immense list of subjects or you can click on one of four links. 1st Index of documents by Leon James, 2nd List of fulltext articles and Books by Leon James, 3rd Index of all documents on this site, and finally Search this site via Keywords, Concepts, or Names.
B) I found that the different search functions were very helpful in narrowing the search for things in this site.
Link 3 Student Generational Reports
A) This link goes to a page that has a list of reports with a short summary for each. The title for each summary is also a link to the rest of the report.
B) This is what our work should look like in the end so I am glad to see some of the end results now.
A) This link is dedicated to better drivers. People are driving more aggressively nowadays and are always in a rush. This page is to make people conscious of this and to ask them to keep the aloha spirit with them as they drive. It is an effort to minimize violence and aggression on the streets. There are a few links to more reading material at the bottom of the page.
B) I can remember how little traffic there was when I was in grade school. I figure that there are more aggressive drivers because of many reasons. Social attitudes have changed and the age that the law allows to obtain a license is younger than ever. Also just the fact that there are more drivers on the road make it more likely that there would be more aggressive drivers.
A) This link leads to the Traffic psychology page which has the principles, an overview and the origins of Traffic Psychology. It also has the Oahu Traffic Safety Council Handout. This is a very large page that also has a report about different driving aspects and attitudes. This page is also filled with many different links to various related topics.
B) This page relates with link 4 Dr. Driving say's in that it looks at traffic attitudes and other psychological aspects of the drivers of today.
A) This page has links to the different generations before my class and a table of contents with links to the different parts of this subject. There is an explanation of Hypertext and a relation between cyberspace and the mind. It also has a lengthy part about virtual reality and talks about cyberspace as being one big mind with all of us on-line as parts. It refers to communities and religious aspects of cyberspace and even citizenship in cyberspace.
B) This is our work in progress so I am a part of something that should last a long time, maybe even out last me. Scarry isn't it.
Link 7 Social Psychology of Home Page Architecture
A) This page starts like the rest with a table of contents that are links to different aspects of this subject. It also talks about the birth of cyberspace and the connection some have for their home pages. It then talks about links and their purpose of being. And at the bottom of the page there are links to other related pages.
B) I am still working on my home page and am starting to decorate a little. Things on this page can help others in getting ideas for their web pages. Remember to keep it as simple as possible but interesting as well.
A) This is Diane Nahl's Home Page which has links to a lot of interesting places I suggest you check it out. This page is full of information about the web and HTML's
B) I clicked on the HTML tutorial and it gives definitions and explanations about how to make a page. This is helpful for those who need help. I know I did. Another place for helpful hints would be the home page of a person named Mac Daddy. The easiest way to locate him would be to do a search on Infoseek searching for backgrounds. This page gives detailed instructions for enhancing your web page.
A) With all the information that this page has it also has a few different sites that can help you find things. This one links to University of Hawaii College of Social Sciences. All of our work is classified under this college.
B) With all the information at your fingertips you need a way to catagorizes your information. There are many different search engines or ways to make your life easier in finding things. This is just another way.
LInk 11 List of PublicationsA) This is a link to a page that is like a business card. It has a greeting and then information about Leon James such as e-mail, links, and business address.
B) I feel that this was a smart thing to have on the net. It is a free advertisement for your skills. I just feel that maybe if you don't know how to make yourself known that you will just get lost in the static of un-ending information.
A) This is a page that has a listing of publications ranging from research to other parts in Psychology. The publications are divided up into different catagories ranging from time of publishing to subject.
B) I feel that this page should be of some help for those who need to look up or research things. I am taking Psy. 212 and I am going to have to write a research paper. This should be a tool that can help me greatly in the near future.
A) Emanuel Swedenborg lived from1688-1771 and this is his Home Page by Leon James. This page has sections for Spiritual Psychology and Spiritual Growth. There is a section that lists on-line resources and links to them.
B) The human body as a micro cosmos was an interesting concept. I feel that they were right in a sense. I think of this concept as partially right in that we are made up of the same stuff the cosmos is but the cosmos is not modeled after us.
A) This goes to a page that has three links. Two of them are tours that take you around the World Ideas Bank and previous Generation group pages. The third is a link to nutrition and exercise papers.
B) This tour is a little long because there are so many links and links in links. It was interesting to see that what I do now will end up like some of the pages I have seen on the tour.
A) This page deals with religious aspects as well as psychological aspects of how we perceive things. The way people interpret events differ greatly.
B) The first parts refers to the human body being the model for the universe. There are some interesting things to this argument. I thought about it and figured that people thought that the universe was like the human body but then science came around and changed peoples minds. I feel that science in a way now can strengthen that argument. There are some that feel that the cosmos and humans are made up of the same things. An atom is an atom any way you look at it. That is what I think. I recommend this page just for a good read as well as stimulating your mind.
A) The page that this is linked to talks about the Generational Curriculum. This page has a brief history oabout the Generational Curriculum. It is divided into Topics, Students, and Related Courses. The students also give a summary about a few pages that they did or read.
B) There was a page about song analysis that I found interesting. The person took each phrase and put his own meaning to those phrases. I felt that this deepened the song.
Link 16 Full Text Articles and Books
A) This is a topical index for Leon James Site. All The titles are links, to the left there is a brief summary for each title. Like the indexes in previous links the titles are divided into different catigories.
B) This page can be a big help if you are looking for a certain topic and is organized fairly well. This is another one for the research paper . This should give me added information about updated psychological findings and tests.
Link 17 University of Hawaii's Home Page
A) I am fairly sure that a lot of you have seen this page. If you haven't, click on the link and see it. It gives a summary about what UH has to offer and talks about enrollment as well as services.
B) I have seen this page so many times that it is getting boring to me. I wonder how many times they upload new things to it.
A) This page is just what it say's it is. It has all the information of the introduction page without all the nice background and fonts. Cut and dry it is kind of like this page right now.
B) I don't think that this page is neccessary anymore because most peoples computers can download things fairly fast now. Now people can enjoy a little art with the text.
