Introduction
Hi there everyone! This is Tupou Finau and being a student in Dr. Leon James' PSY 459 class is pretty interesting. The Univeristy of Hawaii at Manoa Psychology 459 for Fall 2003 is based on the text Talking from 9 to 5: Women and Men in the Workplace: Language, Sex, and Power written by Deborah Tannen (2001). As for the rest of my class mates, I am enjoying all the inputs and ideas that you have all shared. To my understanding we are in Generation 19 and it seems just as intgeresting as the previous generations.
This intrroduction is to just kind of give you the whole tour on our main focuses in class. In all three of these reports you will find that there has been many work done. It contains the affect and the effect of each task that has been performed with much effort and careful planning. I do hope that from each of these reports there can be something to gain from. I also think that if there is much attention and concentration given to this page, then there is for sure more to gain from.
Personally, this is the first time that I have ever had to create a homepage and work with the FTP program. When I first viewed the syllabus for this class I thought that maybe I should reconsider about registering for this class. Then I thought "What the HECK?" Since then the class has been getting more and more interesting. The tasks alone are very easy to complete, but for a procrastinator such as I, I have come to realize that I need to be more up to date with the completion of these tasks. It may seem that this is a walk in the park, but when you have other classes that call for the time and attention, then you need to organize the time and the way to handle these things.
Other than that, there is a first time for everything and hopefully that the next generations to come will have better luck at this. I also think that the experiences that people have with computers will be even more helpful. To those of you out there who are computer literate, your way ahead some of us, maybe not, but your way ahead of me...GOOD LUCK TO THE REST OF YOU.
