My Weekly Research on the Web

I am enrolled in psychology 459 at the University of Hawaii and one of our assignments is to write about our web postings that we do weekly on WebCt. Dr. James Leon is the instructor for this course and has taught this course for many “generations”. I am part of generation 19. I think that it is a really interesting generation to be a part of because after this generation he will be changing the texts, and the topics of this course. The purpose of this assignment is to analyze our information behavior throughout our weekly research. We are aware of our affective and cognitive feelings as we carry out this assignment. I feel a little excited about this assignment. I am apprehensive, and anxious, but I think that I will learn a lot about researching throughout this process. I feel a nervous because searching the web can be quite dangerous. There are many articles out there that are not reliable, so I need to make sure I pick reliable sources to base my postings on. In the following pages you will come across my errors, feelings, reactions, changes, mistakes and much more about this experience. On the first day of instruction we went over the syllabus for the class. We discussed our reports and our oral reports. We also discussed our weekly assignment. Our weekly assignment consists of posting a research message and a comment message on WebCt.
