My View of the

Generational Curriculum

1. Statement about this site
This page basicaly explains itself. This site explains the basic concepts of traffic psychology, cyber psychology and spiritual psychology. It provides information about what topics will be discussed on Leon's homepage and throughout the student generations. It is a good place to visit, for first time visitors, before exploring the rest of the site.

2. Address
This window displays the physical address and e-mail address of Dr. James. It promotes comments about his site. None of the icons seem to work at this page. If you want to contact Dr. James, this is the place to go. But then again, there are e-mail links on about every page within his site.

3. Indexes for this site
This link is very convenient in that one could search through this Dr. James's site in 5 different ways. He offers a subject index, a list of articles and books by Dr. James, a list of documents by Dr. James, a list of all documents and a word search. This site is very useful to the first time user, as it displays the entire site in various ways.

4. List of Publications
This page offers the bibliographies to Dr. James's documents. It gives credit where credit is due. This site also contains some links to the actual sources from which he obtained information from. Very important page. Wouldn't want to be critisized for plagerism. Also, interesting to know where some of the ideas originated.

5. Student Generational Reports
This link leads you to a page where Cyber Psychology Reports, Traffic Psychology Reports and the Daily Round Archives can be accessed. This page gives a brief history on each of the topics.

6. Swedenborg Home Page Hawaii
This site portrays a person named Emanuel Swedenborg and his spiritual investigations. It allows one to learn about the history and concepts of Swedenborg. Excellent site, if you are interested in spiritual psychology.

7. Dr. Driving Says...
Wow, this site has expanded alot since the last term. I find this site to be more interesting than the last time I saw it. The traffic light color fonts brings life to the site. The site focuses on road rage, and it offers a testimony, interviews and solutions to help curb road rage. The topic of road rage seems to be gaining more attention. This site contains all of the basic concepts that we are learning in our traffic psycholgy course.

8. Explore this Site with Tour Guides
This aspect of the site offers tour guides through the site. There are 3 different routes that one could take. I don't really care for the tour guides because they are restricting. Only certain pages in the site is selected for viewing. But, for first time users, it can be an interesting experience.

9. Traffic Psychology
This page provides the basic concepts of the traffic psychology course that I am enrolled in now. The principles of traffic psychology is layed out. Also included is the theory on how the affective, cognitive and sensory motor is involved in everyday driving. A self witnessing program is also given in promoting safer driving. This is a great page for everyone to visit in that it promotes a better understanding of our driving nature.

10. Cyber Psychology
This place is very familiar to me in that I am involved in two cyber psychology classes. This place offers the concepts of virtual reality, the human mind, virtual communities and cyberspace. All of these concepts are related to one another. Spirituality is also touched upon in this section. Unterstand the existance of cyberspace and the new posibilities it has created.

11. Spiritual Psychology
Swedenborg's concepts and influences are further displayed in this section. Spiritual Psychology is no longer offered as a class because of the declining enrollment. But, all of the concepts can be found here. Kind of interesting. Can be related to virtual reality and the mind.

12. Daily Round Archives
Every wondered how this course was offered without the Internet? 499 students obtain pre-Internet reports and put them on the Internet.

13. Social Psychology of Home Page Architecture
This place incorperates the psychological factors involved in creating a home page. An important factor is the affective, cognitive and sensory motor aspects of hypertext links. Also included is a link to the architecture of learning virtual communities. This page can be a learning experience to anyone who acceses the Internet.

14. Full Text Articles and Books
This place offers links to full text articles and books provided by Dr. James. Topics include traffic psychology, cyber psychology, and spiritual psychology. Next to each link is a brief description of the article or book. Want to find out more about each of the topics offered on this site? This is the place to go.

15. Diane Nahl's Search Index
Want to learn how to use the Internet? Want to learn how to set up a web page? This is a great place to start. There are also many links to search engines and fun stuff.

16. University of Hawaii
This is none other than the UH home page. Practically anything you wanted to know about UH can be found here. You can even register for classes from this site. It is a very useful site if you are enrolled at UH, or, if you want to enroll into UH.

17. Search this site by Keywords, Concepts, or Names
This is a really effecient way of finding what you want in the social science department. It is just like a search engine. I enjoy search engines, because I feel that they are easiest way to locate a particular topic or document.

18. Text only Browsers
Borrrrring. This is the entire site without the graphics. I guess I am so used to the excitement that technology allows in web pages. I tried using a text only web browser called lynx last year. I will never go back to it again. But, I guess that this page is good for the primative Internet explorers. This page makes this site more accessable.
