It seems that she has spent a great amount of time in selecting other students' reports. For example, she comments on Ashby's report("Portrayals of Driving on TV"), saying that media definitely has an effect on our behavior. I agree with her that the power of media is so great that people are easily influenced by it. My friend has a bumper sticker which says "Kill the Television". Obviously, this is not a solution, but we should be at least aware of the power of media.
She reviewed other students' reports that are written by Ms.Ishikawa, Ms.Cortez, and Mr. Akagi, in regards to the issues of tailgating, cybercommunity, and speeding respectably.
Ms. Rodriguez seems to enjoy reading through these reports, but she also mentions her frustrations. In the beginning of this class, I also had a hard time especially dealing with any computer works. But, I'm so glad that I managed it.
Her topic for report 1 is Gender Differences in Driving. I chose the same topic for my report 1, so it was more interesting to read her report. She feels that societal influences and media play big parts in gender stereotyping in driving. She also mentions how men think women are bad drivers including her father and husband. While growing up in a society where men are thought to be superior than women, I can understand what she's gone through. Many of men in my country think that men are better in many ways just because of their sex. I agree with her that women receive stereotypes of being bad drivers because of men wanting to feel superiority over women.
