Welcome to my home page. As a learner of the Online Generational Curriculum developed by Dr. Leon James, I carried out a self-observation experiment on how I overcame technophobia to pursue autonomous learning through the collaboration and contributions of fellow classmates. This site includes my 3 required reports (Annotated Bibliography, Research Report, and Book Review). This semester, we were also required to post weekly forum discussions online and review reports done by previous generations.
This course utilized Dr. Deborah Tannen's book Talking from 9 to 5 to discuss women's and men's conversational styles and how they affect behavior in the workplace. The book's content formed the basis of our oral presentations and discussions each week.

This will be my last post of the semester. It has nothing to do with workplace conversations, though. I just wanted to commend all the G18 students for persevering through the semester. Yay, guys, we did it! We can look back at this semester and say, "I did that. Now all my work is available for past, current, and future generations to see and model." We stuck it out - we uploaded all our required reports, did our oral presentations, and actively participated in the weekly forum discussions. I mean, look, there were over 1,000 posts in our forum.
I admit that it was frustrating in the beginning. Like most of you, I was not familiar at all with creating web pages and uploading, but also like you, I was determined to become more information/internet literate.
Have a great summer, everybody! And for those who are graduating this semester, congratulations and good luck in all your future endeavors!
