This commercial is a two minute clip to help promote a certain hamburger at Jack in the Box. Jack, the Jack in the Box president was driving to work and he got pulled over by a police officer. The officer was about to write a ticket for speeding, when he asked Jack, what happened to a certain hamburger he really enjoyed. Jack replied with, "It's coming back for a limited time only." The officer got excited and asked Jack if he needed an escort to work, so he hoped into Jack's car and they speed away.
Driscription of Bad Driving:
Jack is speeding to work.
Jack bribes the officer not to give him the ticket.
The officer jumps into Jack's car and they both speed to the nearest Jack in the Box.
Influence Others?:
I feel this commercial can be influencing to many, especially the bribing issue. Many people may think it's OK to bribe a cop and get away with it. This action gives the idea that it's all right to speed, and as long as you have a good excuse for the police officer, you will get out of getting the ticket. Which is not true-it's just another false statement given out to the public.
Influence Me?:
I personally don't enjoy Jack in the Box food, so this commercial didn't make me want a burger. What I can relate to is the speeding issue and I would only wish that bribing an officer could actually work. Maybe seeing scenes like this one when I was a child, made me think that it I could imitate these actions and I would be able get out of it by a simple bribe. Out of my own experiences, I can conclude that trying to convince a police officer doesn't always work. I've tried it and many other people I know tried it and sometimes there is just nothing you can say or do to make the officer change his/her mind.
