by Jennifer Kaneshiro

Statement About this Site is a general information page about Dr. Leon James's three subjects taught to students at the University of Hawaii's Manoa campus. All courses are integrated with Internet activities for psychology majors. The three topics include Traffic Psychology, Cyber-Psychology, and Spiritual Psychology. Each site includes reports, definitions, examples and Dr. James's students own web pages about the subject. This is very interesting information especially for students interested in psychology and taking any of these courses. You are able to get a very good overview of each topic of interest.

Address is an address page of Leon James. This site consists of his UH Manoa address, his e-mail address, and his home page address. The five options include: an index of documents, a list of full text articles and books, an index of all documents on this site, a way to search the site by key words, concepts, or names, or you are given the option to search by the subject. These options give a quick and easy way to find out about a specific topic relating to Dr. James's home page.

List of Publications is basically a bibliography of Dr. Leon James's pages and sites he uses. This page is mainly a general information page of references.

Student Generational Reports gives you the option to observe all of Dr. James's students reports, including: traffic psychology, cyber-psychology, daily round archives, and three articles on the general curriculum projects. Each link opens to different gererations and their individual projects. This is an execellent page to view especially if you are taking any of professor Leon James's psychology courses. Being able to view other students reports help to see what the other classes acomplished.

Swedenborg's Home Page Hawaii is presented by Leon James, it is a breakdown between spiritual marriage and growth, spiritual psychology and science and Swedenborg resources in Cyberspace. This site gives you over 530 other pages to link to. Most of these links have general definitions and examples of problems and solutions in love, sex, marriage, religion, the spiritual world and so on... I found this cite to be one of the more entertaining information cites to browse through.

Dr. Driving talks about road rage and aggressive driving. I feel everyone who drives should browse through these pages, you can learn a lot from them. The page starts off with scary statistics about major numbers of death and accidents in the U.S. It also has an explanation of who and what Dr. Driving is about. Dr. driving gives you information about how to become a better driver and how to help others become better drivers. Helpful tips and solutions to many problems observed on the roads are also given. One enjoyable thing about this site is the ability to state your opinions and questions directly onto the page and have other people share their resolutions and experiences with you.

Tour Guides is another way of touring the past reports directed by Dr. Leon James, a psychology instructor at the University of Hawaii. The first report, focuses on cyber-psychology and traffic psychology. The second report links to topics about daily round archives and the third report is based on nutrition and exercise. All three reports were interesting, and gave tips to help aid us through this course but, I really enjoyed the third link the best. I found lots of interest in this report because, I truly believe nutrition and exercise are very important aspects of everyone's lives and yet most people do not pay attention to either one.

Traffic Psychology is a new and still growing field. Many people do not know about this subject yet everyone who drives deals with this everyday. This page is an introduction to what it is about, what is expected, why it's needed, and how it works. This is an informative page for drivers of any age, race, and sex. After reading this page, drivers should become more aware of their driving personalities and hopefully correct them. I really recommend this page to everyone not only drivers. Everyone can learn something from this, a pedestrian or a passenger can be more aware of drivers around them and as a driver you can learn to self-witness all your "bad-habits" and eventually correct them.

Cyber-Psychology discusses about the techno-world we live in today. Many people including myself have this fear of the new technology. As many people have noticed there is no way of getting around this fear, you will eventually have to face these fears and conquer them. This page focuses on the computer technology, such as, online interactions and the past generation reports. This cyber-psychology link is useful and can help many people familiarize themselves with technology as we face today. I really enjoyed the other reports, I got to view a friends page and I felt the 409's two cents part was a good touch, it described the students problems, frustrations, and feelings toward the class and the projects. Just knowing many other students went through the same things I am going through now helps put my mind at ease, a little.

Spiritual Psychology is an informative page focusing on Swedenborg's work. This page talks about his beliefs and the different views of spirituality. There are both positive and negative views toward his work. This is another topic that is still a new growing field and not much talked about. I really enjoyed this page because I learned a lot about the many different spiritual views of life.

Daily Round Archives or DRA, explains what it is and gives examples related to this topic and provides other links to other class articles which helps explain the concpt of an DRA. This is a very long page but I found that an DRA is a collection of reports written by students from 1971-1991. These reports included the students interest in education, science and various lifestyle issues. These courses were taught by DR. Diane Nahl, who organized all the collections over the past generations. I found this page very interesting after I finally understood what it was about. Many of the previous students wrote about interesting things, I bookmarked this page so I can go back and read more articles when I have time.

Social Psychology of home page architecture gives you a good description of what a home page is and what kind of functions are available to that page. I found this page to be very informative and interesting. I am still a little afraid of creating pages on the web but after reading this article it made me realize the importance and the joys of actually finishing a page of my own.

Articles and Books gives a list of various articles and books you can easily link to. This page lets you see all the listings of writings that Dr. Leon James used to create all of his pages. This page helps you link to any article or book directly without having to search for them. This is interesting to see all the different articles he found interesting and used for his various pages.

Diane Nahl's Search Index is Diane's home page which contains information about herself, the UH of Manoa, other generation reports, different search engines, and helpful tips for beginners on the internet. Her page is very informative especially for students attending the university and enrolled into Dr. James's classes. She has passed on some useful information about the internet and what I should expect from taking Dr. James's class. Also the links to the other students pages was found helpful in getting me started.

University of Hawaii, contains general information about the university. This page has all the information the UH Manoa catalog has, which include, anything from course descriptions to weather and surf reports. This site is useful in that anybody is able to browse through what the university is like without actually having to be there. This is a very informative page and is very useful to those who attend or wish to attend the university. I'm glad this page is available to the future generations, I'm sure they will be much appreciated by the convinience of this web page. I wish this was available when I started the school, it would have helped me out a lot!
