Mark II: 5 years later, 10/82!
- Note 4: Brown Intellect is innate/conate and racially
universal (="GENETIC CULTURE") within the spiritual (non-material) genes or
organs with which each individual is born. These act into the body beginning with the
finest cortical fibers within cortical cells from where they descend into the cortical
cells and fibers eventuating in the afferent/efferent systems. This level has been
recognized by: example Plato ("Ideal Image" of "Form") Aristotle
("teles" or "first-end"), Kant ("a priori and
metaphysical"), Chomsky ("LAD"), Husserl-Kates ("bracketing universals
or intentional sets") Eccles ( "pure consciousness"), Jung
("unconscious" or "Archetypes"); and in: Bible ("in spirit or
seeing in a vision"), Poetry ("inspired or Muses") Humanism ("source
of human potential or infinite creativity"), Law ("inalienable rights" and
"human motive"), Religion ("conscience"); and uses of: "innate
ideas", "categories of thought", "thought-forms",
"universals", "invariants", "pure", "subtle",
"outside time/space", "spiritual", "higher",
"inner", "abstracted", "formative",
"developmental", "inherited". The "pure intellect" acts into
the simple cortex within each cortical cell (or "inmost crerebrum"). Thus it is
a higher action involving finer substances. The higher the action the more easily the
substance needs to change its state hence the finer it must be. Also, the finer the
substance the more it can change its states the more perfect and infinire its varieties
and possibilities and hence "intellectual power." The inmost or common sensory
acts into the thoughts and gives them distinctinctlveness ("intellectual lights"
vs. "obscurity" or lack of ability to comprehend/understand). Thoughts are in
obscure consciousness until made distinct by their infusion with the common, universal,
general (see "FRAMING" and "STANDARDIZING" and "ABSTRACTING"
and "TITLING" and "SIGNIFICATIVES" and "VALUING" and
"FOUNDATIONS" and "JUSTIFICATORY PREMISES" and etc. * This acting into
is actually a concurrence or correspondence or harmony or consentient which takes place
through organic interface where two distinct systems can harmonize or assume corresponding
states. Note that it is always the finer that concurs with the grosser never the reverse.
- "Universal truths" (Brown) act into
"ideas" or "thoughts" (Blue) which come from "meories",
"images", or "words" (Green), thus giving particular ideas a general
light wherein the ideas light up as it were or become distinct in intellectual awareness
or consciousness. Hence without universal truths ("truths of faith") no higher
thoughts or judgment. Lower thoughts cannot raise themselves into higher but rather the
higher (which are innate) perceive the lower and set themselves to correspond. Hence it
appears that the lower is lit up when actually the higher which is lit up is now
harmonizing with the lower. The experiencing of the higher intellect in correspondence is
the highest consciousness available to the rational mind or intellectual sight
("vision of heavenly things").
- When conscious awareness or the mind is withdrawn from mixed
thoughts (Blue) and abides in pure intellect (Brown) the reasons that come forth are pure
judgments from spiritual truths. Hence they are universal and higher outside the
particulars of time and space. They are "bracketed out" (Husserl-Kates) and
abstracted; and though from material originally it now by correspondence has escaped time
and place. These reasons can now become conclusions in the will; hence at that point one
acts from higher consciousness or universal principles (see: Kant). Furthermore this
higher judgment can then mature and be perfected. Hence experience from the sensory
ascends is abstracted and helps perfect the innate or universal (see
"marriage"--Kates).
- Developmentally: judgment is perfected in adult life after
imagination and ingenuity weaken their reliance upon thoughts and the mind can be
withdrawn from them or abstracted/bracketed out.
- The higher intellect (Brown) remains shut until it perceives
states in the lower intellect (~lue) it can correspond with or harmonize. Hence the lower
intellect must be developed first through culture and use (155), and these learned
contiguities are then abstracted when the innate higher intellect can harmonize with these
contiguities. Then it matures and subsequently enters into all thought speech and action.
True and good are then instantly perceived and in distinct clarity or confirmation. (163)
- Note 2: Green Imagination is an activity from "acquired
correspondences" acting within "natural correspondences." Thus when
perceptual activity (Yellow) acts contiguously with the representational images of the
imagination they then enter into a co-established harmony or concurrence. However, the
harmony and disharmony between the two activities (Green vs. Yellow) is innate and
recognized and accompanied with affect (+ or -).
- Note 3: Blue Thoughts is an activity that results by
correspondence (innate harmony) when the imagination activity (Green) is abstracted from
images and objects (example re-ordered and re-connected hence, changed in their state of
harmony). (harmony resonance, positive state)
| [contiguous action = "correspondence"] |
{"harmony"=resonance=positive state=acquired
natural} |
- A change of state in thoughts (Blue) is a change in the
external state of the "pure intellectory" (Brown), to which an inner change can
correspond and which corresponds through "harmony" (reciprocal resonance).
Natural "correspondence" (innate) between thought and intellect exists as to
compatibility so that the intellect judges the thought as to truth and good vs. false and
evil.
- Note 5: Black Conclusion relates the pure intellect to the
activity of the soul. The latter is higher and pertains to "spiritual
intelligence". The soul operates upon the natural through the pure intellect. Neither
is dependent on experience but recognizes changes of states in themselves produced by
experience.
- Note 6: Determination into Action is a "gyre"
force where the sensory turns into the motory and is always active but inhibited or not by
the intellect. The cortical cerebrum is both a "common sensory" and a
"common motory" acting to expand (systole sensory) and constrict (diastole
motory) constantly in synchrony with respiration and blood circulation and enters into all
other activities (omnipresence).
Note 1: White Form is the ultimate
activity of the soul in nature. Form is the determinated force of the soul imprinted in a
substance which gives it its quality. Form is the essence imprinted. Form's quality sets
its harmony and disharmony such as what or how it corresponds with (resonates, concurs,
acts together with, synchronous). Form is the essential quality of entities. Form varies
in perfection example :
| angle |
triangle |
trapese |
circle |
spiral |
vortex |
("Gestalt Psychology"--see
(175-184 RP)) (see ES Notes LAJ 1975) Note that SENSATION (organs of periphery) is the
least perfect form while PURE INTELLECT (inmost of cortical glands) is most perfect in
form ("first") in nature.
- Forms are capable of change of state. The higher
(purer, prior, simpler) the form, the greater its number of states (example, brain vs. eye
or muscle or gland). A state changes to another through transformations (example circle to
ellipse). The perfect form is unchangeable (example, only once circle but an infinity of
ellipses).
- A form is the capacity of change of state in a substance.
When or change of state occurs a new form comes into being. Each new form has its own
harmony. Forms can exert modifications without change of state through expansion and
compression. This is a topological change, leaving form unchanged. These modifications
exert force or pressure or harmonies upon adjacent forms. Hence a never-perfect form is a
source of infinite other forms, forces, harmonies through its capacity to change states
indefinitely.
- Forms are "determined" into substance where they
create states and changes thereof. These are created successively (prior to posterior);
but in each new form all the prior forms exist simultaneously. Hence forms occur in
series and hierarchies; likewise their harmonies and correspondences .
- Topological changes (not
"transforms") are modifications leaving quality and harmony unaffected. But they
produce "variations in dimensions" . (185) Example shape and color of
objects modulations of sound etc all of which are continuous changes. (Transforms
are discrete changes.) Continuous changes or modifications are modes. ((vs.
modality))
- Forces and actions are modifications (continuous
variation) while sensations and affections are changes of state (transforms) (discrete
variation) (see catastrophe theory ) [R. THOM]
- Note 2: Yellow Perception is an activity of organs. These
are forms which are capable of changing their state (transform) in harmony (resonance)
with atmospheric modifications (distal and proximal contact or communications).

| HARMONY |
(see UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL DIFFERENCES & PERSONALITY &
BIOGRAPHY) |
- AFFECTIONS are "harmonies" and
"disharmonies" in sensory organs (passion, suffering = reception and transform).
Thus the WILL is affected by harmony in pure ideas, the INTELLECTORY is affected by
harmony in images, the IMhGINATION by harmony in perceptions, the PERCEPTION...sensations
and SENSATION...atmospheric modifications (etc.). The SOUL (or WILL) is thus aware of all
the body s and intellect's affections (changes of state and harmonies). Each
organic form (W - Bl) is restored and vivified by harmonies and destroyed and injured by
disharmonies from its adjacent form. Positive or pleasant harmonies are desired and
striven for (approach) while negative harmonies are unpleasant and avoided. Evil and
falsities have opposing harmonies to good and truths and thus reverse what each finds
pleasant and vivifying.
- The organic forms (W - Bk) within an individual may not be
integrated due to culture and experience so that the affections clash within the person.
