For example, why does the county decide to do road work and block off lanes during rush hour? Can't they do it during off-peak times? Or why are there only two registers open at Longs when they have at least 10 of them, and the lines are horrendously long? Can't they train their stock clerks or something to work the registers when it gets busy? WHY?
The following students' reports deal with this exact topic. The reports were completed in the Fall of 1977. Yes, I was a mere 4 years old at the time these college students were slaving away at a manual typewriter. One would figure that in 20 years, a lot of the complaints on the reports are all done in better and more efficient ways. To my amazement, a lot of the complaints they had back then STILL exist to this day. Read the reports and you'll see what I mean. Oh, and since all the story titles were (you guessed it) "Why Can't They Do It Another Way", I attempted to create my own titles for each report, to reflect its content.
Ah, one last thing. The reports used ID numbers in place of student names. Thus the actual authors of these reports are not available...
