Each lecture or module should consist of

(a) some text

(b) a diagram

(c) an exercise

(d) some vocabulary to memorize with definitions

(e) a brief relevant quotation from the Writings.

The length should be what can be covered in a 45-min. class. Complex topics should be covered in two or more lectures. The topics should be sequenced so they build cumulative knowledge.

One approach might be to focus on just a few topics -- three or four, and write them at different age levels, e.g., ages 4, 7, 12, and 18.

Key topics to consider:

1. God

2. The Threefold Word of God

3. Swedenborg's experiences and the Writings

4. Heaven and hell

5. Regeneration and character reformation

6. Dying and resuscitation

7. Conjugial love and marriage
