CAROL N. OHTA'S MESSAGES TO THE FALL 1996, 409a, CYBER-PSYCHOLOGY CLASS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII

CAROL N. OHTA'S FINAL MESSAGE TO THE CYBER-PSYCHOLOGY CLASS (PSY#409A) WITH DR. JAMES AT THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII

Hello 409a class. Thought you heard it all from me, didn't you?! HaaaHaaHa... =) Guess what, you haven't. Just Kidding. Well, I thought since I got to know you guys and wrote to you guys endless e-mails, I thought that you'd enjoy my last words to each of you individually. Sorry to the people I didn't get to know this semester, my messages to you are fairly short. I regret that, my deepest apologies to you. For the rest of you, don't worry my messages were kept to a minimum. I heard it all from you guys complaining and complaining about my long messages. So I kept it short so you guys can get going into whatever you want to do.
I had fun this semester even though I had a lot of problems that occurred with my CSS Account and my 499 research. I thank you guys for making this class enjoyable and fun. Thanks for all those who participated in my surveys. I really appreciate your help. I hope to see you all in the future and please Take Care of Yourselves. All I know is that I'll be enjoying the first three months of next year enjoying my vacation. After that I have to come back to reality and work, study, and concentrate on taking my GRE. Hopefully going into a graduate school program within a field in Psychology. I hope I can achieve my masters in the field I so desire.
Have yourselves a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I wish you all luck as we journey our separate ways. I'm just very happy that I got the chance to meet you guys and talk story with you. I really enjoyed myself and hope you enjoyed me as much as I've enjoyed your company. Hey, don't feel left out, I even feel the same way for those I didn't get the chance to know because the rowdy students in class took that time away from me. HaaaHaaHa... I know you guys know who you are so I don't need to mention, Oops, names?

Wait, I'm not done yet. Please scroll down and click on your name. I provided a message to each and everyone of you. I hope you enjoy them as I had fun creating the message. Thanks and I'll be seeing you guys when I see you. Don't be shame to say Hi, okay. If I see you and don't say Hi, that means I didn't recognize you right off the back. I have to think sometimes before it dawns on me who you were/are. Most of the time I recognize people but I can't remember what classes I had with them. I have that problem and wish I could cure it at times. Don't mind me, just say Hello, don't be a stranger, okay!

Well if it isn't ... girl. Hi ya, smiley! Well we're graduating this semester, HORRAY!!! It's a little sad though, huh?! I can't believe I'm outta here this semester. I enjoyed taking Psychology classes with you for the past years. It was fun to see such a TP like you. Just KIDDING, relax. You must really be a TP, NAH! You helped to make classes brighter and hilarious. Wow, we busted our behinds this semester, didn't we. I'm just happy I had you to rely on when things got a little out of hand. Thanks for being there for me and Thanks for being a friend!!! =) By the way, surviving in 499 or what?! Are you still afloat? I just hope that I can complete everything before graduation. I hope the best of you in the future. I hope you succeed in the field that you're achieving. I'll see you around.
Hey, did you call Heather? I bet she's still waiting for us to contact her about lunch. All I know, is that you were suppose to set it up around your schedule. Gee, don't tell me, explain it Heather because she said you still didn't contact or call her. At least I see her around, what about you?!

Ginger Andrews
Well if it isn't Ginger. What can I say. Let's see, did you ever figure out how to shadow the font? I can't seem to find anyone who knows how. Sorry about that. Well, wasn't class a blast?! I gotta admit, you made class fun. You make me laugh with your facial expressions when we're sitting in class listening to the lectures.
Labs were fun with you, Honeycutt Cheerios, Hawaiian Girl, and Shane. Those after hours when were in the labs was the best, huh? Cracking jokes at the other people and Ryan was a blast, he just makes me laugh. I wish you luck on continuing your Web Site. I really hope you get the chance to figure up how to shadow your fonts.

Shane Cobb-Adams
If it isn't Shane Cobb-Adams, our class's most indept person. Your sites are so deep in meaning, you trip me out. Hey, you still didn't change your Homepage Site. If you want the lines go to my topical index and click on lines under Terry Gould. He has lines that I think you would be interested in. If not than go through Dr. James icons, you can find lines in there too.
I'll make it easier for you. Here's the link to Terry Gould's Site for lines. If you want Dr. James's icons sites here is your link. Scroll down to icons and look through all the files marked was icons' that includes icons2, icons3, and so on. Have a blast with these sites.
Shane Thanks for the laughs inside and outside of class. I don't want to image how class would have been like without you there because you helped make time fly by for me. Especially when you, Kai, and Dr. James got into a conversation. Hey, don't get too drunk when this school semester is over. Even though I know you would.

Kai Hansjurgens
Gee, for someone who didn't know how to do this stuff sure knows how to do a lot of things. Wow, I'm surprised and shocked because you've come so far. I give you a lot of credit. I'm still learning the basics of HTML, I can't even begin to understand all those Java codes. They're so complex! Whenever I have the time to learn Java, I know to look at your site. I know I haven't met you personally like the others in the class, I just didn't have the opportunity to meet everyone in class, I'm sorry for that. I'm just glad I had the opportunity to have you in one of my classes in my last semester here.

Junko Hashizume
Junko, the person who was so affraid of class. I'm so proud of you, you stuck through this class even though you got off to a rough start in class. It all paid off for you when mid-terms came around, yeah?! I'm just happy that you got the grade that you deserved. It gave me a relief because I was so busy when you asked me for my opinion about your sites. Wait, I'll be back.
Don't worry about your Homepage, I just checked it out on a Macintosh, it's readable. Thanks for the advice of creating a Personal Homepage, I really needed it so I could create a site of my own expectations. I'll see you on graduation day! Along with Ryan and Michelle. I'm really glad you stuck this class out until the end. You really learned a lot about the HTML and Internet. Instead of me helping you, you've helped me too. Tahnks!!! =)

Shawna Honeycutt
Oops, I'll skip you! Nah, just KIDDING around. I can't go without saying Honeycutt Cheerios! =) I know how much you hate me calling you that. Just think of it as getting back at you about all those endless calls that you gave me in the lab. Remember?! I sure do, I keep on hearing my name everytime I see you. It's like an echo that keeps going and going. I'm just teasing you.
I enjoyed being there with you when we were handed our mid-term grades. Pretty funny how we were the two sitting next to each other. Oh, and the only ones with the grade we got (I don't know if you wish for the whole world to know). What a blast! I hope we both raised that grade to an A+++. That'll be trippy, huh?!

Hey, I hope everything worked out for you during the semester. I can relate to you about all the problems and situations that arose while this semester was going on. I just can't wait to see the day when the problems that I now face, go away. Many Thanks and please Thank your mom for me with filling out the survey. I wish you luck and hang in there while you continue on here. See you around!

May Rose Isnec
May Rose, what can I say! Horray, you made it through the class. I enjoyed your company when we were in the same boat floating down the river into Hengel's office. I'm very glad that you got all your problems worked out. Dave was a big help for you, huh?! Are you going to take another class with Dr. James? If so, try taking Traffic Psychology. However, from what I hear, next semester is going to be different when it comes to the CSS server. It'll only be available to FTP stuff into the accounts but not abling you to access pico from it. Things will be changing.

Jami Kaneshiro
Jami, Hello! I didn't get to meet you. Well, nice to meet you now! =) Anyways, I hope you enjoyed class. I really didn't get to know that side of the class, except for Ryan. I wish you luck in your future and hope that class wasn't too difficult for you.

Jean Leong
Jean, one of the quiet ones on the left side of the class. I hope we weren't to rowdy for you in class. At least towards the end you and Junko spoke up in class and talked to us as well. Did we make you feels uncomfortable?! Gee, I hope not. I hope we pushed you and Junko to speak up in class. Not to mention getting involved in our own conversations during class time. You know the notes.

Christine Marchadie
What's up, what's up, Hawaiian Girl! Hey class wasn't that bad after all, huh? Hey we are the most smartest people in class. Somehow we learned to loose our assignment sheets. Hey, I never did find those sheets at home. I'd laugh if I find it after this semester is over. Better yet, I wonder if I really don't have it at home. Hey for anybody else reading this, we are organized, we just lost the sheets because we were so into the class that we couldn't be bothered with remembering where those sheets went. At least we had the gutts to admit we MISPLACED the assignemnt sheet.
What can we say, we are the most totally envolved people in this class. Hey, if you don't want to take our word for it, that's your decision, not mine! =) Hey, Honeycutt, ssshhh, nobody has to know the truth. Smile!
Hey Hawaiian girl, I hope you enjoyed this semester. The class made it happen, huh? We are all a bunch of nuts, don't you think? Nope, nobody belongs in the zoo, we all belong in our favorite vacation spots enjoying the atmosphere of no reports being due and the CSS and UHUNIX servers taking FOREVER to upload and download. Take Care of Yourself and I'll be seeing you around!

Ryan Mitsui
Our class clown with all the funny and interesting stories transported to us by e-mail. Those stories were fun the read. Especially the TOOTHBRUSH one. Hey, I better watch out for that one when I travel. Thanks for the warning. I won't forget this one.
Thanks for all the laughs during the labs. You made class fun and I'm glad I got to meet you and I hope my advice of taking Traffic and Cyber Psychology together wasn't too hard for you. I can't wait to see the pictures you scanned in for your site. I still need to scan mine in.
A word of advice, keep up those smiles and laugher. If you need help, don't hesitate to ask for it from people. I'm sure they'll be willing to help you out. That's what I learned this semester through Psychology #499.
I'll see you on Graduation day. Take Care and Wish you luck in the future.

Kathy Morifuji
I wish you luck and see you around. I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to know you better. I hope Dr. James?s class wasn't too hard. I hope Jill helped you a lot while you were in this class. Take Care and Wish you luck in the Future to come.

Robert Schultz
Robert, what happened? Where have you been ever since you got your CSS account fixed. I hope everything is okay. I hope you the best and see you around. Take Care and wish you luck in whatever is going on in your life.

Aaron Takahashi
Aaron our sleeper in class. Hey, just Joking! Well, I didn't get to know you better during this semester. Sorry for that, but I couldn't keep up with everyone in the class and not to mention all the problems that were occurring. I hope that class didn't stop you from enjoying yourself Monday nights. It was hard to stay awake in class. Boy, you sure saved the rest of us who probably wanted to dose off at one point or another. At least you finished and completed all the reports that needed to be done for class. I just hope you succeed in your dreams and accomplish everything you want too. I'll see you around and Take Care.

Ross Takara
Ross, nice to meet you now that the semester is over. I wish you luck in your future and Take Care of Yourself. See around whenever I see you.

Jill Umetsu
Hello, Jill. I hope my explanation didn't freak you out about PSY#499. I hope you take the 499 from Dr. James. Just put in the time and you'll do okay. Being that you survived this semester, means that you'll survive through anything that Dr. James requires you to do in 499 class. Don't worry, Dr. James will help you in the class. The fun part is go to Dr. James's lab classes and helping the lost students out. That was the most rewarding part for me about PSY #499. Only thing, you can only help Dr. James out in the beginning of the semester because the work load becomes a big pile. Therefore, you need to start working on the research so you don't fall behind in the work.
Sorry I didn't have the chance to know you better. However, I'm very happy and grateful that you asked for my opinion about 499 with Dr. James. Don't worry, I sent Shawna Honeycutt, Christine Marchadie, and Gregg (from PSY#409b) the e-mail I sent you in regards to 499 too. From what I gather, you maybe working with each other in 499 class. It helps to know the people involved in 499 so you can ask each other questions and talk about your concerns with each other. That's what we did this semester.
I wish you luck in 499 class and Take Care of Yourself. I'll be seeing you around.
