A New Look At Love

Affective Cognitive Sensorimotor
Spiritual Self I value a clean sound mind. Without holiness, no man shall see God. I want to see God. I value holiness. I have the freedom to restrict the kind of material I digest. What goes inside us affects how we behave. As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. I don't want bad things in my heart. When I look at lusty things, I lust after girls. This willleave them uncomfortable and me in sin. I am a better person when I have a clean mind.
Reflective Self I want to please God not only with my actions, but my thoughts as well. If I don't limit my reading to the right things, my mind will not think on things that good, honest, just, pure etc. (Phil 4:8) The Bible says to set your mind on things above. Also, it says that if a man thinks in his heart adultry or murder, he has already done it. (Col 3:2; Matt.5:27) Reading or looking at something that I shouldn't can stay on my mind, therefore I shouldn't allow it to get there in the first place.
Automatic Self I feel good when I restrict what I allow my eyes to see and my mind to read. I want to be good in the eyes of God. The word 'playboy' reminds me of when I used to read Playboy magazine before I became a Christian. I sure wouldn't be caught doing that. (Or at least I shouldn't be caught doing that.)
