"We are finally forced to face the truth we've suspected all along--we stand alone.
We are stunned to discover that we are beginning to get old. Cracks appear in our physical shells. Grey hairs sprout...we find ourselves puffing on the racketball court. Even when we suck in our stomach, we've lost our trim.
We realize that time is running out."

Spiritual Self I love to be in good shape. I resist the sin of gluttony. Even though my outer man grows old, my inner man is renewed day by day. (Eph 4) How one keeps ones body in shape reflects how ones spiritual life is progressing. When I stop excercising, I stop praying. I am more easily accepted by others when I stay in shape.
Reflective Self While growing old is emminent, my gaining lbs. would be a result of overeating. My goal as Paul said is to keepmy body under and bring it under subjection. I shouldn't place so much emphasis on the outer appearance, but I feel it is okay to want a sound body as well as a sound mind. A good body is a good witness as a Christian. My pride feels good when I am noticed for my body build. I is important to be in shape.
Automatic Self I derive pleasure from excercise. I want to be attractive to other people. I like to be noticed. My dad used to be very active when he was my age. Now he has grey hair and a fat belly. He tells me that my time is coming. I love physical excercise and vow to keep my body in good shape, no matter how old I get.
