Summaries

Concepts of Web Publishing

This report covers the differences between print and web publishing, skills needed to publish a web site, a comparison between navigational browsers (Lynx and Netscape), and a chance to explain what I would use my personal home page for.

Categories of Web Sites

Various categories on the web are discussed. In addition, differences between print and electronic versions of magazines, journals, and newspapers are investigated.

Principles of Navigating the Web

The term "information superhighway" is defined in the first part of this report. The report concludes with a critique of the organizational framework of four home pages.

Hawaii's Cyber Community

The organizational framework of the Generational Curriculum Area is analyzed in this report; a task-flow diagram is also provided.

Online Database Management Issues

An analysis of the WIB (World Idea Bank) is provided in the first part of this report. The report concludes with a proposed plan that would allow future generations to successfully continue WIB activities.

Hawaii's Cyber Community Development

This report covers an array of topics; an objective critique of the GC (Generational Curriculum), a summary of an article written by Dr. James on the GC, students' feelings and problems that they had while being part of the GC , and a proposal for a long term program for managing the GC.
