Unfortunately, this sort of solution just doesn't work for us when it comes to driving. No, we do not have enough space in our environment to buy a highway for each one of us. No, there is no such thing as "Heidi St." (I am, of course, convinced this st reet does exist, but I'm by no means ready to go to highway heaven.) Since the fact is there is only one highway, there is only one logical solution. We must ....umm, oh, God, should I reveal the one simple word that could restore highway harmony foreve r? Nah, I'll try wait.
Let's not talk about that one magical word just yet. Let's talk about Missy, FiFi, Butch and poor little bladder infected Peewee a little bit more, only this time they will take the form of human beings (Sorry Cats!). These human beings are tailgating.
They are forcing their will over another in order to get where they need to go at the expense of other's on the road.
Jolleen Lai (G1)(Missy),
was exiting off the Pali Highway one day, looked in her rear-view-mirror and what did she see? ah-ha! A tailgater! She states,
"...close, real close. Guess what gender? It was a female in a white Acura Legend". So then she "just slammed on her brakes to let her know that she was too close to my car. Little do I know she followed me even more closely." Basically, their "will" to
overcome each other almost ended in an all out, pull over, with your dukes up brawl.
Now there's Sondra Blake (G3a)(FiFi), who says "It seems as though I am always in a hurry. I speed, do not stop completely at stop signs and my family tells me I am a terrib
le tailgater. I believe them because I have seen
people in front of me pull over and let me pass, just to get me out of their hair."
Then there's Denise Tanaka (G2)(Butch), who says "aggression towards others when I'm on the road is
scary. Sometimes I find myself tailgating people because in my opinion, they are going to slow. When someone cuts me off, I get so angry. Sometimes I can't think clearly."
Evaluating these behaviors, ie:Missy, the Ruler, who refuses to give up her ego, FiFi, Ms. Priss, who is too stubborn to change her ways even though she's fully aware of them, and then there's Butch, who is so threatening, he may even scare himself(Peewee of course depicts all situations of a victim), are they ethical, fair, justifiable, spiritually wrong/right, convenient, no big deal? I will leave that for you to decide.
Oh, and by the way, aren't you wondering what that "magical word" was? The one that instantly creates highway harmony? It's sweet and simple, sharing. So clear out your lodged hairballs, move your tail over, and give me some space in the litterbox. We 've all gotta go, so it might as well be a pleasant experience.
