Instructor: Dr. Leon James Course Description: WI/Psych 459, Fall 1996 Learning to Manage a Traffic Psychology Database on Internet This seminar explores traffic psychology and its application to the Internet -- how to use it for research and community service. No prior Internet knowledge is required, only a willingness to face and overcome your technophobia. Students will receive hands-on training in the Porteus 635 computer lab. They will learn to set up their Home Pages on the World Wide Web and to manage a generational traffic psychology database started by prior students. Students will also learn to use search engines to investigate and access course related Web Sites. There will be no exam, but all reports and assignments are to be published in the student's Home Page according to instructions. Classes are in the form of discussions and oral presentations by students.
