Teamreport Week4

For this teamreport I went to the homepage of The Beacon, a campus newspaper of the University of Tennessee. From there I found links to different campus papers, like The Tech, from MIT. The Tech has a link to "The Edgerton Center's Online Photo Gallery". I thought that is interesting. This gallery has a great selection of digital images and regular photos. It is maintained by Thomas R. Karlo, a MIT student, who invites you to sign in and leave a message when you get to his homepage. He also has a link to his previous homepage. Moreover, he has created a link to his own selection of current and past works, apparently he is very interested in photography. My favorite of his photographs is the orchid(too bad, this link contains no data..maybe because the pictures are copyrighted??). His computer graphics are also very impressing.

I find it amazing that it is possible to display your artworks on the web. Karlo's homepage is very inviting, and the tone he writes his comments or homepage in is easy to understand. However, we are really dealing with a great professional, I think. Again, I realize how wonderful the web is. Through this connections we are able to meet people from different parts of the country and the world. Most likely, I would have never seen Karlo's works if it weren't for the web. Sites like his are an inspiration for me to become a professional in this system. Thus I will be able to access the full potential of the cyberworld.

P.S. While reading through Dr. James' Online magazine I found an address that takes you to the Andy Warhol museum. Also, a link to the Web Museum Check it out if you want to experience a real gallery of artworks..
