Week 12

For this week's search, I decided to use excite to see what I could find on the topic of weightlifting. Because I am an avid weight lifter myself, I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of information is on the internet about weightlifting (maybe possibly pick up some pointers, eh??)

Excite led me to the weightlifting home page, which has an enormous amount of links and also includes some color pictures. Just about anything related to weightlifting is on this page- body building and power lifting links, links to drug related information, as well as a whole bunch of home page links. Out of curiosity, I decided to click on a home page link called Eric's fitness page. There, I found the "Cyber Iron Body building home page (which I assume Eric had put up.) Even more links could be found there; not only body building links, but power lifting sites as well.

A series of celebrity links were also there, so I decided to check that out. I clicked on to the Arnold Schwarzenegger home page and got a whole listing of movies that he did, his biography, books, and so forth, each with its own clickable title. I clicked on to his biography, and found out that he is from Gratz, Austria. He has also held numerous Mr. Olympia titles, as well as awards in the movie industry.

Concerning the documents, they were very easy to read, and understand even for the non- weightlifting enthusiast. Links are plentiful, covering every aspect of weightlifting. Format is also excellent, and the documents include pictures everywhere! As for the psychology, it is interesting to see that such information can be found on the internet. There's no doubt that the creators of these documents love the sport of weightlifting, as well as the internet!
