For this week's task, I dug a little deeper into the archives of the Generation I Psychology 409 class to see what I could find. Landing on your home page, I clicked on to the 409 files and chose the generation I files. I Scanned the list of names in there, and chose some of the names that I recognized. To my surprise, I found numerous students names that were in both 409 and 459, just as I am taking both classes now. I chose their names, because I figured that I have lot in common with them. It also gave me the confidence to know that if they were able to stick with both classes, so could I!

The first name I clicked on to was Joleen Lai. It was interesting to read about her lab reports, and how she had to endure the work load of both classes. She had many of the problems that I encountered such as being intimidated in the beginning with the whole idea of working on the computer, and not know anything about it. Through the emotions and impressions of her weekly reports, it was clear that she was gaining more and more confidence as time went by. I assume the survived this class, for her reports run up to the last week of their class.

Another report I explored by a generation I student was Rayson Noguchi. He too, was taking both classes, and endured the pressures by both. Rayson Noguchi's weekly reports talk about things such as exploring and navigating in the net, creating web pages, and so forth. It also contains various links to the outside that he discovered while exploring the net. Rayson also raised some interesting questions such as what is the fate of our files when we are gone, will they still be on or erased for future generations, and so forth. These are some of the questions that I wonder about.

Rayson also has an interesting link in his lab reports called "smashing the computer." Interested to see what this particular link was about ( since I get those urges sometimes), I clicked on to it and landed on Cheryl Ramata's week 6 lab report. In there she talks about her angers and frustrations with the computer, whom I assume we all can empathize with. This led me to ponder the though of what you said about us being presently in the "dark ages " of computers. That is so very true! One has to wonder what the future will be like in computing.

Heading back to the main menu of names, I clicked on to Dellia Badua's lab reports to read about her trials and tribulations in this class. I was impressed to find that her topics were listed in her outline. For instance, you could find the topic of frustrations, solutions, confidence, and so forth, and see how it applied to her. For the sake of this report, I clicked on to her frustration link to see what I could find. The first thing that striked me about her lab reports was her Very big font size. I wonder if she had problems with her computer?

Dellia Badua's week 4 report was the most significant for me, because she talks about confidence, and how her's kept rising as she progressed into the semester. I know Del personally, and I know that if she could do it, I can do it too! Like all the other generation I students, she also gives interesting advice to future generations on how to survive this class.

as far as the psychological aspect of this week's task goes, it goes with the idea of increasing my confidence. I can honestly say that I have gained more confidence and motivation than I ever did before. Reading the generation I student's papers made me realize that if they can succeed in this class (409) and in the other class(459), so can I!

This week's task was very easy to accomplish and for me, a number of significant progressions were made. They were necessarily in the proficiency of technical realms, though, just in the nature of my self confidence concerning this class. No "lacunae" here, just the sweet taste of confidence!
