College is not all study and no FUN. I got this cool picture of my favorite hockey player Patrick Roy while doing an assignment via the Internet.

This is a picture of him in a moment of ACTION and GLORY.

This used to be a habs page but due to their lack of respect for, and the eventual trading of Patrick Roy, this is now a COLORADO AVALANCHE page.

Below is a synopsis of Patrick Roy's press conference from ESPNET.

LAVAL, Quebec -- A tearful Patrick Roy expressed regret Monday for his actions over the weekend but still expects the Montreal Canadiens to trade him.

"I want to apologize to the fans for the gesture I made at them in the second period," Roy said through tears during a news conference at a hotel in suburban Montreal. "I was frustrated. I thought it over. I regret what I did. I played on this team for 10 years and I played my heart out. But the events of Saturday night brought on this situation."

Roy (left) was suspended Sunday by general manager Réjean Houle after Roy missed a 1 p.m. ET team meeting and a 3 p.m. practice. Roy's agent, former NHL goalie Bob Sauve, met with Houle and said the Canadiens will trade his client.

"We have no choice but to trade Patrick Roy. The credibility of our coach and organization is at stake," Houle said Sunday. "We have to split. We're at the point of no return. I'm going to talk to the other teams and get the best deal possible. I met with Patrick, he understands and he agrees."

Roy said he'll stay in shape until Houle can arrange a trade.

"I really wanted it to end differently -- not in a stupid way like this," Roy said. "My career is taking a new turn. It's not easy and it's too bad how this whole situation turned out."

Roy said there is no chance he will return to the Canadiens.

"Maybe in the short term it was possible but in the long term, the same situation would have come up again," he said. "After what happened, I don't see how we could reach any other conclusion."

Roy was pulled Saturday midway through the second period of an 11-1 home loss to the Detroit Red Wings after giving up nine goals on 26 shots. He was booed often by the Forum crowd and raised his arms when the crowd cheered sarcastically after he made a s ave. Roy also had an angry confrontation with coach Mario Tremblay and President Ronald Corey after he was removed from the game.

Houle said Roy told Corey, "I've just played my last game for the Canadiens."

Roy, 30, is 12-9-1 this season with a 2.95 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage. A six-time All-Star, he won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the most valuable player of the playoffs in 1986 and 1993, leading the Canadiens to Stanley Cups each time.< p> Houle will likely obtain a goaltender in any trade for Roy, whose suspension leaves veteran backup Pat Jablonski as the only netminder on Montreal's roster. Jablonski, who replaced Roy on Saturday, has a 5.00 GAA in two appearances. Rookie Patrick Labrecque, who was sent to the minors after going 0-1 with a 4.29 GAA in two appearances, was recalled Monday.

"I'm going to continue in the National Hockey League," Roy said. "I don't know where. It's not in my control, but I will be patient until the Canadiens have made that trade. I'm going to turn the page and look towards a new future."
