Ryan's Part
This week I used Infoseek and typed in "online help". Of the list that
come up I took a look at the link Big Dummy's
Guide to the Internet.
This was my kind of document (at least name
wise), just chock full o' lovely blocks of information and all so
beautifully organized. It was listed like the table of contents to a
book. Some of the topics included were Public-Access providers, E-mail,
and a link that really intrigued me. The 7 UNIX Commands that you can't
live without. They are: cat (like the "type" command in DOS), cd
(change directory), cp (copy), ls (list), ls|more (can stop the file
listing every 24 lines in the case of long lists), mv (move), rm
(remove). That's about it for this time.
