Group report #13
I thought that I would explore the Web Tools
from the Crash Course to HTML
one last time. I have talked about it in Weeks #11
and #12. This time, I clicked on something
called Elements of HTML style.
In this link, there is a section called the Guide Proper. This
is general etiquette for making web documents. There are eight
different things it lists...
1. Even spacing between things of equal importance
2. Greater spacing between organizationally distinct categories
3. Consistent use of modes of emphasis
4. The use of horizontal rules
5. Don't leave unimplemented links active
6. Check for spelling and grammar errors
7. Put go back links at the end of pages
8. Organizing author pages
This is a page to read. In order to get a general idea of etiquette
on making web documents. I think people who have not started to
make a web document should read this. That way they don't have
to go back and change things dramatically. I suppose if there
were some set rules that everyone needs to follow, page would
be more uniform. But who wants that? What makes the internet interesting
besides the information, is to see how creative people can be.
