Section 3:
Like last week, I decided to look at a specific student's home page. I thought that this would be a good way to explore the Generation One files. I looked at Linda Wong's Home Page. Again, the only task was to explore, so it was very easy. i think that I'm gettingthe hang of surfing the internet. All the information is there at the click of a mouse button. I had no negative emotions doing this week's assignment. The value of this skill is very high because being comfortable with how to explore the internet is important. If I'm uncomfortable, I would try to avoid it as much as possible. being that we have been using the internet for over eight weeksnow, I did not have to try hard to complete this task. Exploring any page on the internet is very easy.

Fossilized errors, repeated lapses, felt lacunae. These all were not part of this week's task. I felt very confident when exploring the Generation one files.

Linda Wong's home page starts off with a short welcome paragraph. Then she has a list of different links you can go to. A group of these links being Alternate Home pages. Under this subheading, she has standard home page. Another link is to an Index Home Page. This has an index of all the subjects in her home page. it is a topics index. Then she has something she calls her creative home page. On this creative home page she has her fun stuff. Comments that she makes about herself, things she finds interesting, and some pictures. Last under alternate home pages is the link to the student's home pages.

Next she has a sunsections of homework links. Under this is her lab reports, her glossary, her other student's lab reports, and other student's glossaries.

The next few things are repeated items that can be found under her alternate home pages. These are things like her index, her creative home page, homework links and her class links.

I thought that her home pages were put together very nicely. It was well organized and easy to follow. The thing for me to do in future weeks it to continue to add on to my topics index and to try to make my home page more efficient.
