After many tries, I finally got into the newsgroups. I would have thought that there would be hundreds of sites that had to do with stories about driving and/or traffic. There was one really big problem though, this site had no listings. They all had strange three letter prefixes followed by a period and nothing else. Am I supposed to look though each and every one of them? There must be thousands.

The only one that I recognized was the alt. newsgroup. Last semester my ICS 101 class used to use that particular group for some of the assignments. I clicked on the alt. link and scanned through the listings. I saw one that I thought might contain some good driving stories, it was the alt. traffic control link. In it I saw rec.autos.driving so I clicked on that. My pulse began to quicken as the computer loaded the news group. When it did come on, I felt like someone had knocked the wind out of me. Most of the listings were people's choices of their favorite places to drive. There also seemed to be a lot complaining about how people from other states and countries drive. No driver confessions or stories to be found here.
